I heard they're weak until 4th Job and hard to train, does anyone have any tips? Also, what's the ideal end-game weapon for them? I'm considering making one.

Training a gunslinger isn't that hard! I expected 1-70 to be tough but honestly, it wasn't that bad. As long as you have decent equips to start out with the damage isn't that bad compared to other classes. But if you don't have equips to start out with, training a gunslinger will be tough because the damage output is very low compared to other classes. 10-30 I trained at Slime Tree -> Horny Mushrooms/KPQ. 30-50 was simple CPQ. 50-75 was a grind at Voodoos. 75-90 or so was at Wolf Spider (Party with others! Talk to people!) Another option is Jr. Newts which is easy cause you just sit there and spam your Burst Fire. Then you just stay at Jr. Newts till like 110 or so. An ideal end game weapon would be a Concerto or a Dragon Revolver. A Concerto is easier to obtain than a Dragon Revolver because there's more of them in the market. I suggest you go for it and experience a gunslinger yourself! Most importantly, have fun!

Sniping them is done as an alternative to wolfspiders - so mid/late 7x through 90-ish. It's quite a bit slower than wolf spiders, but it's less pot burn, and gunslingers don't have a mob attack.

I'm following a guide and it says: "You can start at lvl 80, sniping behind the green plant at the Jr.Newtie Map until Level 94 with the octopus aiding your sniping"...or something like that...
