Asking was perfectly legit, and I'd like to voice my opinion too. In our guild Discord we often discuss further polishing or improvements for our set rules, and with the New Source being in active development I'm sure the Challenge will keep evolving too. Even though we're basically talking about the concept of "donating" exp to another character, I would personally keep the daily Ironman experience party-free both for consistency reasons, and to avoid awkward grey areas. I think it's important to keep in mind that the Ironman Challenge is a form of trust-based, player driven meta. Many things in the old-school maplestory made little sense, and private servers have their own peculiar endgame meta and optimized paths of progression; furthermore, MapleRoyals development is of course not handled with the needs of a solo player in mind. It can be an actual little challenge itself to build a reasonably consistent set of rules on top of this. All the exceptions we have in place are very specific, and are either one-time (i.e. 4th job books quests) or guild regulated (i.e. Zakum), thus fairly controllable. The goal has always been to find a workaround for solo-unfriendly content wherever this was deemed reasonable, necessary (a "necessary evil") and/or not challenge-disrupting - by unanimous decision. Spoiler An example of this kind of reasoning could be the decision to include Pirate PQ among the regulated exceptions. Pirate PQ was basically an attempt to counter the little power-creep generated by the Pilgrim Hat in the early days by giving access to another "rainbow stats" hat (Lord Pirate Hat), and to give access to a couple of quest items. The PQ itself is fairly straightforward, doesn't require a full party, was accessible until level 200 (at least in the old source), and doesn't provide additional bonus items. As a counter, we kept it guild-only and with limited daily access below a certain level. Looking back, even though it was mostly a silly experiment that never really became a thing, the whole thought process behind this choice made enough sense in my opinion. I hope my words made sense and sorry about this serious, long-winded post. I hope you will keep having fun!

Just to let all who are considering joining Ironman, it is never too late to join! Our doors are always open to those who seek a greater challenge here on Mapleroyals.

Decided to start an Ironman a few days ago, been loving it since. Just hit a pretty "big" milestone, Maple Impaler as a DEX-less Warrior.
