Another boat ride discussion

Why did that third option get added? Nobody is being forced to buy fast travel tickets. It's your decision to buy them.

 

i loved boat rides in GMS back in the day the ships were always crowded i meet so many people but in royals its always empty and it makes it boring tbh

 

i agree on this, everyone had fun during those crowded boat rides, srsly sometimes i hate royals community..

 

i think i'm speaking the truth, after playing here since early 2014. Even gtop 100 is advertising " nostalgia " but it's like 50% nostalgic only.

 

i think the fast travel pass ruined it but removing it i feel will disappoint a lot of players, but i mean we still have TP rocks...

I'm starting to feel as though this is one of those irreconcilable differences in taste, like rap.

For my part, I like boat rides, but it's nice to have TP rocks and fast travel tickets available for those times when I need to be somewhere quickly, such as bossing or annoying helping someone. To me, the system seems pretty much perfect. Mesos and NX are so easy to come by.

(Footnote: my bandit makes better money than my bishop, apparently, so it isn't a matter of "that's easy to say because you have a bishop!")

 

I figured some people may like boat rides technically (and voted yes) but don't like how it's implemented. Forced is a strong word but let's be honest, almost no one would keep going on the boat rides after a few tries, and buying fast travel tickets would be the norm.

 

Still don't understand the third option. If you like boat rides, why would you buy the fast travel pass. Enjoy your 25 minutes of bliss, while I enjoy my 5 seconds of unhappy fast travel.

As in I like boat rides.. For like the first two times until I get bored and just buy fast travel anyway. Idk just felt that yes or no were too arbitrary.

Honestly, ship rides were fine in old maple. But the only reason was because Original Maple had 100000X the playerbase that royals has.... And so ship rides would have many people making them fun. In royals, ship rides feel like ghost rides...

If they really wanted to meso-sink with the fast-travel tickets, I believe there are tons of other viable methods that could've been implemented, but the boat ride seems...unnecessary

Also, most of us played maple as a child, but many of us are grown, with work/college/a life/etc. We just don't have the luxury to spend 10+ minutes on a boat ride, especially when we're the only ones on the boat
