If you both play on the same internet connection, that will be a problem, unfortunately.

So me or my sister have to play on our neighbours internet to gain 8k NX/day each. (Or we should just share lol, wich means only 50% of someone who lives alone's nx income)

Though I do understand why this rule is needed but I don't think this will stop people from exploiting. Everyone knows how to use proxies and spoof his MAC adress & HWID. But I do understand the decision that was made.

So again about the vote abuse thing, am I allowed to vote on my phone if I'm only back home for the summer? (I play on the same internet as my brother atm) Or do I have to wait until I move back out again? I kinda voted on my phone for today already.....and then went back to this thread and read the "we USED to let people in the same household vote on their phones"... Woops..if it's not allowed can we just both skip voting again for the next 24 hours?

 

it should be fine as long as you aren't both playing on the same ip. So you'd be able to vote as long as you aren't playing till you move back.

I believe what you are doing is illegal.

 

As long as they're only voting once a day per site each and not playing or voting from the same IP, I can't see the problem.

 

Talking about connecting to someone else's WiFi.

 

If it's done with the neighbour's consent or they go play over there, I still don't see the problem.

 

So is a decision going to made as a result of this discussion? I have yet to get an answer for that question.

 

Do you see any suggestion that is better then whats already been implemented?
Its not so hard to figure out they will keep it, unless you come up with something better.

Well, I don't think there are any ideal solutions. They're all going to have their drawbacks, and whatever we do, a smart and devious vote abuser is likely to be capable of finding a way round things.

Matt has already put forward one solution - make all NX untradeable and put an abuse check on Gachapons. I'm trying to work out the logistics of another - very different - solution before putting it forward.

 

That would mean no more Teleport Rock and AP resets resells. I have to vouch for keeping the system being used right now.

 

And what's wrong with the current system again?

My little brother doesn't get to vote, pretty clear, I'm the oldest one so yeah.

The fact that a better solution hasn't been found is why I asked the question. Just close the thread and if any questions need to be asked, there's a separate area of the forums for that.
