That's the rub. Art for Mesos. Art for money. Money for mesos. It's all integrally tied. While drawings (especially ones done on a tablet) are rather innocent and cheap (besides cost of the tablet, you're paying for time spent making, not materials). Meanwhile you have me who makes cross stitch pieces that take 100-300 hours to finish and I don't even want to think what that type of time, material, shipping, and for all purposes, 1 of a kind, piece of art is worth in mesos/items... all my pieces are made as gifts and it's something I thoroughly enjoy doing, and it would feel weird to be able to turn what is essentially my hobby into hundreds of billions of in game worth (that's where the line blurs.. it's not just little bit here and there).

For now, all you can do is offer free art, trade art, and attempt to sell, however I don't think this is the place to try and sell your art for money (pretty sure there's a caveat in the rules about using the forum for personal gains). I believe the last time this was discussed the latter wasn't allowed, so looking to give away art and trading art is pretty much all you can do, unless an Admin would like to pipe in and clarify. I would stand on the side of caution with this one just to be safe :x

That was what I was thinking. It's maplestory related art, and I'm investing my time on it, so it'd only be fair to get something in exchange. For that matter, I'd just level up my cleric and sell leech, but art is what I enjoy doing the most (and will eventually live off of), so I thought maybe it'd make sense to mix that and maplestory without giving away my time for free.

Do you think there'd be chance for me to suggest a change in this matter? maybe make a poll or something? I remember in may last year the art community was huge here, and now this part of the forums barely moves. It'd be pretty nice to give it a reason to start moving again.

 

It this still avalible? Since now you know yiu can sell you art for mesos, could you consider draw one of my charcaters? : D
