Twisted Jesters

I've noticed on this server that jesters aren't really a choice for single-target classes (Sins, Dits, Gunslingers) to train on. With such a huge HP:EXP ratio, why aren't jesters a hotly contested spot?

 

if you're talking about the haunted chimney jesters map, it's not open on this server.

 

Because the amount EXP:HP ratio is terrible for Twisted Jesters.
Twisted Jesters have 50000 HP and give 1325 exp. That's roughly 38 HP per 1 EXP.
Windraiders, for comparison, have 16000 HP and give 800 EXP. That's a measly 20 HP per 1 EXP.

There's your answer. And since the Chimney map is, as resum mentioned, not open, there is no good map with Twisted Jesters in which lv. 65+ players can leech from Arch Mages/Bishops either.

 

If you're a Pizard though, Poison train is very fast there if you can manage several channels properly.

 

What's the map that has jesters? hidden-street only has them in the chimney.

Your EXP amount is a bit off. When at the Toy Room my F/P Mage was pulling in about 4,200 EXP per kill. 20-30 seconds for 4,200 x 4, cc rinse repeat, gg ez pz.
I use 3 channels as it can sometimes take me a range from 15 seconds to sometimes 30 seconds if poison or aggro doesn't want to work in my favor. So that's 16,800 every 15-30 seconds. At minimum 33,600 to a maximum of 67,200 EXP, average of 50,400 EXP, per minute/60 seconds. Only job that benefits from training here is really F/P, but it's a damn good spot for them, replaces DT's entirely from level 50 to 75.

 

Ah, of course. The numbers I listed are the base numbers from 1x EXP rate. So naturally in Royals Twisted Jesters give 1325*3,2 EXP, and Windraiders give 800*3,2 EXP. However the difference between the EXP:HP ratios still stand.

 

Depends on what job you're playing as, specifically for F/P Jesters will beat WR any day due to how poison works. For every other job, i agree, WR are better.

 

That's global, not ban, which lists Psycho Jacks and Sophilia Doll for that room. But there is at least one haunted house map that spawns 3-4 jesters I believe.

 

Did you click on the link? It clearly says Toy Room: Twisted Jesters. Don’t see no mention of Psycho Jack or Sophilia Doll.

 

Ah well that’s weird, because in Royals they are indeed in Toy Room. That’s where I remember them being in Pre-BB GMS too, which is how I knew how to find them here.
