I have lv 25 combo attack at the moment, the tooltip states 200% damage, but the actual damage boost seems much lower With 1006-1792 range, I collected some data on my damage ON SNAILS Without Combo buff: 1305, 1492, 1642, 1473, 1342, 1378, 1339, 1042, 1543, 1708, 1776, 1160, 1380, 1716, 1223, 1116, 1455, 1486, 1740 Average: 1437 With Combo buff: 1413, 1276, 1729, 2066, 1664, 1936, 1466, 1596, 2025, 2352, 1510, 1822, 2348, 1931, 1507, 2109, 1718, 1372, 2046 Average : 1783 Rough Damage boost: 125% (NOT 200%) If Combo Attack works as intended, my buffed damage should be in the 2018-3586 range, instead of where it is at. Please clarify if this is what is intended (1% per level instead of 4%). Or please list this and other changes to skills that aren't reflected in skill tooltips in the 'New source master bugs list'. Shamelessly Bumping after getting some more info... I talked to some WK/Pally playing friends, and they confirmed that the elemental charges still give the full 15%/20%/25%/40% boosts when maxed, as well as the +50% elemental weakness. Is there a reason for gimping Crusaders 3rd job? There's gotta be a better way to balance the warrior classes than making combo attack basically useless. 3rd job WK can get an easy 1.5x+ damage via weaknesses, but saders can only get 1.3x the damage. I can understand that Hero's are OP, but I don't think that their 3rd job damage should be nerfed so much. It would be more fair to give them 1.60x-+1.75x damage from combo attack to be more similar to the 1.725x-1.875x damage that WKs can achieve from exploiting elemental weaknesses. If Heros are so OP, why not nerf ACA or Brandish instead of gimping Crusaders in 3rd job?
I'm very curious about this as well. Is Combo Attack not working correctly, or is the needed damage intentional? If the latter, why? If the former, is it being worked on? It almost even seems like Combo Attack isn't applying to attack skills like Power Strike, Brandish, and Slash Blast, as well as Shout, Coma, and Panic. Really hope this is address by a staff member.
ya heroes are really weak right now. They get out damaged by dark knights. This is super embarrassing. can you pls buff ?

for reference heroes should out dps a pally on general stuff, but a pally should pull ahead on elemental weak stuff, and fall behind on normal stuff. I mean, in theory this should apply in 3rd job too. Giving a crusader 200% on everything just seems like a big thumb in the eye for WK. I'm not saying they should be crippled like it sounds like they are, but using a pally as comparison is kind of "eh" since the whole deal has been shaky for a while (lol like since 2006)
Exactly, which is why I suggested combo boost somewhere in the range 1.6x-1.75x With WK elemental charges and weakness, they get roughly 1.725x- 1.875x damage depending on the element In general, I think lots of stuff needs to be rebalanced, - I'd rather see weaker things buffed relative to their base values, rather than stronger things nerfed.
0.10% is hardly enough to make WK's "pull ahead" on elemental weak monsters, considering how significantly lower the damage is for WK's on neutral mobs, even after the nerf to combo. Crusaders should not be JUST below WK at their best.
From what I remember in GMS combo attack only gave you 140% damage at max level and 5 orbs so it kinda make sense I guess
Just curious if maybe we can get an update on when an update will happen to fix this? There have been 14 game updates since it's been 'brought up for discussion' but no word on fixing Combo Attack.
We discussed on this and have came up with a conclusion (sort of). Think we will announce in the next patch note.
Just wanna put forth not to be toooo excited about it. We found some issues that's not with the skill (this decision wasn't made by 1 person, bht almost all staffs and especially those who owns a Hero). Then again, you'll see. Not sure what Andreas have done with it yet.
Can you elaborate on the issues? I mean, it's been proven that the damaged boost is not matching what the skill description states, so wouldn't that be the issue at hand to fix?
