I want to make it clear, I have bean playing maplestory since 2006, I've seen the pros and cons of maplestory over the years. I'm throwing this idea out there to introduce new posibilities . I think there needs to be a free market gachapon that allows you to select a category of item you want to try for, such as scrolls, equips, summoning sacks, cash shop, ect... You can balance it however you want. Or if not this create a gachapon ticket that is more expensive but allows you to select a catagory of item you want and it will increase the chance of getting it. Personally, I'm interested in summoning sacks but can rarely find them in the gachapon, there not worth that much either so I'm better off waisting my time looking for them in the FM. Also a larger variety of summoning sacks would also be nice.

IMO gachapon is good the way it is now.

I mean if they added a way for me to purchase summoning sacks easily I would be happy

I think that applyes for everything... But to say it is good the way it is now is not fact.. What is a fact is that I would be happy if they added an easier way to obtain summoning sacks

Yup, that was my opinion. Changing the way gachapon works, for example tickets that only gives you a type of potential rewards like monster sacks, defeat the entire concept of a gachapon.

That's how I see it anyway... but of course you're entitled to your own opinion. Feel free to support your opinion with reasons!

like I said, they can balance it how ever they want if they add the ability to chose the type of item you want, maybe they have to make it harder to get rare variants of it, im just saying, that would ensure me to get a summoning sack weather its crap or not, or a scroll, doesn't matter the point is I could choose what im trying for. Their are scroll sellers, armor, weapon, use, but no summoning sack sellers, your only hope of getting those is from fm, few quests, or gachapon.

Your suggestion i feel like would have the reverse effect in cases like the one you're explaining. If everyone got to chose a category of which item they wanted everyone would pick the same ones to get the most expensive items there by there would be less of the obscure items like summoning sacks for you to buy. It might change it so that you can gach them easier but if you want to buy them from others that's not even going to be an option.

I would leave it to the admins to balance it, if a rare item has a 1% chance it would not change, the only thing to change is the variety.

basically they would have to make something that is pretty much useless or inefficient compared to gachapon except for some niche stuff like summoning bags. So you want them to implement game mechanics for yourself. In that case I also want some custom mechanics that benefits me.

    Is that a bad thing?

I have to add, of course I'm going to pitch an idea that benefits me, otherwise I wouldnt waste my time, also there are pros and cons to everything and no matter how you look at it the system now is by no means perfect its only what your used to.
