I know Gi created the vote alert notices to show when you CC and log in, but to me it feels distracting and unnecessary as I'm usually good about knowing when I can and cannot vote. INSTEAD OF ASKING TO REMOVE IT I was wondering if Gi can create a ~togglevote on/off command for those of us who do not want to see the notices every time we CC. Thanks.
it says "You cannot vote on GTop and UPS" so no voting won't get rid of it. (I also have two accounts. One I vote on, the other I usually don't)
I'm concerned about the fact that her message is saying: "You cannot vote..." I haven't seen this message at all - if I can't vote, it doesn't show a message.
I use two accounts as well, and it seemingly updates on my IP. Perhaps they misread "You can now vote on..."
My account I don't vote on apparently can vote all the time. The one I do vote on works normally. It doesn't really bother me anyway.
You should not get the message on your other accounts as the vote reminder should check your macs and IP's to see if you have voted with one of your accounts. If this check isn't working properly then we should just need to fix it. And if you are not voting then I feel that you should have the burden of getting the message, even if you don't want to vote for us *sadface*.
Sorry. I did misread it. I've spent the last four days up until 8AM fighting off botfloods on irc. Reviewing the screen shots, it does say "You can vote on UPS and Gtop" however, that message only appears on one of my accounts as I voted on my other one. I think Gi needs to make it so it only pops up if the IP didn't vote that day.
i've set chans +mRNis, then they change the channels they join. They also decided to gun for our Janus and hardlinked networks. So I'm changing zncs every 5-10minutes nailing them with gzlines. Of course they hit so fast that our BOPMs and Security services get split and I'm stuck trying to get other opers awake to help me. i'm lucky the irc boxes are DDos protected up to 14million packets/sec.
Isn't this game supposed to be free-to-play? I did not agree to voting every single day in order to evade GM spam abuse.
It's not spam, even when you cc a lot. It's a simple message that takes up what, one or two lines? While I'm hunting for bosses I can cc 8 over 30 times within 5-10 minutes, and while I skipped voting last night to reset my times I still did not find it annoying or spammy . Spam is rapid, repetitive and obnoxious. A friendly reminder that you can vote is neither. Also, oldie, voting has -nothing- to do with the server being free to play. Have you paid a single cent to vote? Didn't think so. If you choose not to vote for free Nx (and supporting the server) then that's your choice. But it's kind of dumb to whine about a requested feature and it's kind of a low blow.
