@JadenSmith @godys @Dapper @Evan @Goku @GoldShine @Eli @87Karlos @Hampa @Martin @everyone at the moment i do not have a vote, but there is one thing that i'd like to point here. there's a severity in error that is being said in regards to untradable apr bought with nx in cashshop. a certain party is being royally shafted due to this condition being applied. while it is not viable by any means to please all parties, there are individuals who are bishops and or mages that have stockpiled nx on their accounts (like myself, with no intention of creating an attacker on same account for self leeching purposes as well being 'blessing of fairy' is not implemented here), such as myself who has at least few million nx. I havent logged into royals for 11 months (since new source) due it being last two semesters of college. in 2016, i was beyond active. in 2017 i was completely inactive. thus, partially active and inactive, however voting everyday possible. as someone stated, royals is something one may do in spare time. there must be countless individuals with similar scenario and or planning such as myself that will royally shafted. making the ap resets untradable bought with nx from cash shop has its merits, but it is definitely going to hurt regular players also.
There is no reason to make them untradeable, the simplest solution would be putting it for sale at Alberts, which would establish a stable price. If some wish to get them just from cs and transfer within accounts or sell for a smaller price than NPC it should be possible. But let's just wait for an update and see what Martin meant by 'something else' and hope for the best.
They need to become untradeable or vote abusers can still buy them in the CS and sell them, if they are forced to Gach it's much harder for them to make mesos, and it'll take a lot longer for them to make said mesos to RWT or whatever they are doing, and that = more chance that the admins will catch them for vote abusing before they can affect the economy like selling 300+ AP resets in one go.
This problem is not with AP Resets and should not be solved by limiting AP Resets. This is a problem caused by vote abuse, and as such, they should combat vote abuse itself rather than affecting the metagame for regular players in an attempt to bandaid what abusers can or can't do.
You guys are reworking arguably the worst system in the entire history of Maplestory ever, the god awful Hp system, and are removing the need for HP washing at all? Man you guys are great! All joking aside, I look forward to the next update!
I disagree that this is an issue with AP resets as well. Also just my two cents, but vote abusers would have a surplus of nx which would mean they can buy more AP resets than normal players. This means that there would be higher supply which lowers the demand. And when you lower the demand for an item, the prices also decrease because less people are desperate to buy. I feel like the fact that there is a 50 level limit, more catching of vote abusers (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong), and the severe lack of NX in the economy for such a long time has actually decreased the supply level which is why the demand is so high. I feel like there is no point in making them untradeable, they are also one of the few items that newer players can use to start building up funds. On another note though, AP resets have been going for 16.5 - 20m (the 20m ones have been rarer, but increasing as of late) and I think it's pretty ridiculous. It's just more evidence that the economy has not stabilized and that it requires help to fix. CS/WS are around the 530m mark and I have even seen upwards of 550m. With AP resets also continuing to climb, it's apparent that things do need to change. I personally think that having AP resets in Albert for 15m is a good compromise. It is a higher price than what it used to be in old source (where they averaged around 8-11m), but also a fair one in terms of where the economy is right now. Furthermore, putting AP resets into Albert would also drive down the prices of people who are selling AP resets since no one will pay 15m to a seller if they can just buy them from Albert without having to smega or spam FM for a buyer. I would imagine that AP resets being sold by players would go down to around 13m a piece, which is a far healthier price. Furthermore, people are actually choosing not to gach, but simply buy AP resets or stock NX since the reset prices have a very good return. I know many people right now don't bother gaching because the price of AP resets are too damn high. With AP resets netting less profit, more people would be inclined to gach as well, which would in turn help the supply of WS/CS. And most importantly, we need better meso sinks anyway. I honestly feel like there isn't much, if any, detriment to adding AP resets to Albert. People who buy them from Albert will be overpaying (when you look at it in the long run), players will still be able to make money off of AP resets albeit at a lower profit, and it will encourage others to gach more since the risk will be worth it compared to the guaranteed profits of AP resets.
There's already enough limitations on AP's with it only being able to be traded/dropped 1 by 1. If anyone can sell 300+ AP's consistently at a pace enough to influence the economy, they would probably have their account checked out at some point, followed by a ban for vote abuse.
This would be great if drop logs worked. kek Far and away the biggest beef that the core player base of royals has with the server is the unresponsiveness of the GMs (it may or may not be tied, actually probably behind, how little the core developer group even plays the game..) Even if it's something as simple as "this idea is being discussed amongst the GMs," why not just tell us that lmao. I mean I can get not wanting to put out half-answers in the face of how much riff-raff actually comes out in each forum post, but I feel that it's fairly easy to discern between meaningless dribble and actual content. Suffice it to say that this is not that large of a community... I truly do not understand the need for all of this clandestine, esoteric behavior. This feedback post has been active for 3 months, is one of the more popular feedback posts of ever, and we just now received a real response? Like, what is that? How do you treat the community like that? Like it kind of bothers me that a certain unnamed admin is probably more active in overwatch community discussions than he is here lmfao. I'd also just like to throw out that I, and many others, have reached a point where literally every aspect of this game is pretty awful right now. AP resets are trash so making new characters feels insanely bad. WS/CS are trash so making good gear feels insanely bad. Other than the social aspect, there literally is zero reason for any of us to keep playing lol.
There are two main reasons for making AP Resets to be sold by Albert: - Fix the prices, meso sink - Reduce Vote Abusers If they're still at NX Shop, and still being tradeable, the second reason won't be fully solved. Vote Abusers doesn't care about the price itself, since they're not following rules, all they want is to earn fast meso. 5m, 10m, 15m, that doesn't matter as long as they can sell all their Resets fast.
Totally agree with this. The reason why it was said to be unteadeables ffom cash shop is to limit vote abusers. If AP Resets sell for fixed price at Albert, vote abusers will undercut and sell for lower price. keep in mind you can use that nx in gachapon which is way more profitable. Specially if you have that much amount of nx to gacha all at once
As a recent new player, I feel that my opinion may be of some importance here. I'm new to Maple's private servers, but I'm not new to many different MMORPGs, so I've seen many different systems and communities. Having said that, my opinion may not be abandoned as worthless. Let's face it: My observation: when I started playing, CS/WS was selling for ~500m (which increased to ~530m in about 1 or 2 weeks), and the AP Reset selling for ~15m. Spoiler: My opinion This increase in value is not something healthy. Imagine if nothing is done to stop this increase. It is not difficult to predict that this will not end. My observation: when I asked for ways to make mesos to old players (and forum), they ALL said "Sell AP Resets, do not gach". Spoiler: My opinion It is easy to understand that gach is already set aside in the economy. Turns out it's the "major NX sink", and this sink no longer works. I'll explain this later in this post. My observation: Leeches have not increased in value since I started playing. Spoiler: My opinion This is something peculiar. I mean, if the products are increasing in value and the market is inflating, the value of anything should not increase as well? Yes, this is true most of the time. Why does not this happen in this case? The answer is simple: it's a service. Moreover, it is not the economy that inflates: it is a specific segment of the economy. Certainly, service prices will increase in the near future, but not as quickly or intensely as this particular segment (WS/CS or gachapon items, and Resets). My observation: People buying NX for a ratio of 1;3 to 1;5 mesos. (When it is not Resets) Spoiler: My opinion Firstly, why would anyone sell 3.1k NX per 9.3m~15.3m if it is possible to buy an AP Reset for 3.1k NX and sell it for 15~20m? This is an incongruity that affects NX market value in strange ways. Whenever the AP Reset value increases, the NX value will increase. This will increase the value of other NX tradable items as well. Over time, this will make NX items too expensive to buy by mesos. Or, they will be so expensive that if the market is still buying them anyway, it means that we have reached an absurd inflationary state. Spoiler: About the NX sink of gach I said earlier First, it's necessary to know how a currency sink can be effective. Inflation is about the amount of currency present in circulation. In MMORPG, coin is automatically generated all the time through direct drops of mobs, or indirectly through the sale of mob drops to NPCs. For this currency to go out of circulation, it needs to cease to exist in the market, and this happens especially when an item is bought from an NPC (which does not return the money spent to the community market). With this, we also need to talk about the market between players. It works a little differently, since the money spent on buying an item does not cease to exist (except for the trade fee, in some cases), but is transferred from one player to another. Therefore, this money continues to count towards the inflationary power of the economy. When you change the main form of "unilateral use of money" to one that is not based on currency transfer, but rather on currency sink, we have inflation control, sometimes enough to handle the problem for the time being, before the economy suffers irreparable damage. When I say "NX sink" I am referring to the use of NX so that it no longer exists. Basically, the purchase of any NX item would be a sink, as the NX can not be used directly as currency. "To no longer exist", in this case, it is "to trade it for nothing", as is possible when gach rewards with something of no value in the meso market, like 5 elixirs (10k = nothing, come on). This phenomenon does not occur when it comes to AP Resets. Conclusion: The economy of NX and mesos is closely connected. It is necessary to intervene jointly in the problem, surrounding both currencies, so that one of them does not become the escape valve of the intervention done in the other. Making Albert sell AP Resets for a fixed price will (1) prevent NX overvaluation; (2) create a new major meso sink, based on eliminating current money in the market; (3) redirect the used NX back into gach, reactivating the NX sink. All these measures satisfy the condition of joint intervention in the problem, starting from a single punctual action in the market. Thanks for listening. I would like feedback, because I may be mistaken in some concept, and try to fix it, as well as clarify doubts.
I have joined this server several months and I want to add I little bit more: 1. When I join, The WS is 350m, now it increased 50%. 2. The APreset is 9m several months, now it almost doubled. 3. I have watched forum very often since I join. There are already lots of suggestion has been proposed and discussed by lots of players. But any of suggestions are actually considered and implemented. I doubt making a suggestion on this server is actually working.
I've seen ws/cs for sligtly less than 300m back when I started, like 2 years ago. I've bought AP Resets for 7m (few), 8m (tons),9m(tons) to reset my MM, which I created two months ago. Prices are going up in an unbelievable speed... Some suggestions I've seen here and there was implemented, it's not like every single one would be, some ideas here would be a mess to the server. But this one in special is something that MOST players would agree, and they're taking too long to decide either do or do not.
I'm not really good with memory But one big change they made recently was the alternative questline for Zakum Prequests, for the people who couldn't pass through Jump Quest.
Well, it seems like it takes more than two years to implement an idea? This is original propose? https://royals.ms/forum/threads/zakum-jump-quest-alternative.34629/
Yeah I know. I mean the idea was proposed two years ago. Then it has been implemented this Aug. I hope we don't need to wait two year with AP from NPC. Who knows how high the price is after two years.
To staff; since it is clear that there is a system being talked about, and it is evidently not coming soon as it’s been over a week since that statement, can we be informed as to what this change might be, so as to begin preparing for its effects in advance? This may assist markets to return to normal; alternatives to WS/CS gaching as the only method of attaining those items will cause more NX put towards AP Resets, thus assisting the AP Reset market before the change is put into effect. Any news or communication is much appreciated to a playerbase that very much feels in the dark at the moment.
