Hello there, current and prospective Bigfoot (BF) hunters. I will introduce you to our furry friend's whereabouts, and present efficient paths to find him amidst the perplexing maps. This guide will NOT cover the entirety of Phantom Forest, nor will it demonstrate BF-killing methods. As the title predicates, this is a guide dedicated solely to finding BF. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Introduction to maps Twisted Paths Non "Twisted Paths" maps Mobs. To kill or not to kill. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Introduction to maps In order to begin hunting BF, you must first take the subway from Kerning City to New Leaf City, and then take the NLC Taxi on the far left of New Leaf City. You will reach Haunted House, which is our general starting position. Spoiler: Kerning to Haunted House .. There are a total of 8 maps in which BF resides: Twisted Paths 1-5, Forgotten Path, Evil Rising, The Evil Dead. Although there are 5 different Twisted Paths (TP) maps, they are not numbered in-game and this is the cause of confusion for many BF hunters. However, this guide will bypass that confusion and show a route to hitting all 5 Twisted Paths maps in a single rotation. It will also cover the quickest paths to the other 3 maps from Haunted House (nearest town). ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Twisted Paths This video shows me walking through one of the TP maps. Every TP map has the same layout; they all have 5 portals. When you are in a TP map and you change channels, you will always end up a little to the left of the middle portal. This is important to remember because you can drop an apple, a pig's head, branches, and a toy duckling there to trick other BF hunters! Without further ado, let's get to the super secret single rotation hitting all 5 TP's. I used bbb.hiddenstreet along with 5 mule accounts stationed at all TP's to confirm that this route does cover all 5 TP's. We begin and end the rotation at Dead Man's Gorge. To get there from town, check the video below. Spoiler: Dead Man's Gorge .. Begin at Dead Man's Gorge. 1. Take the right portal 2. Check left, then right. Enter the rightmost portal. 3. Check right, then left. Enter the leftmost portal. 4. Check left, then right. Enter the 2nd to rightmost portal. 5. Check left, then right. Enter the 2nd to rightmost portal. 6. Check left. Enter the middle portal. 7. Change channels and repeat. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Non "Twisted Paths" maps Forgotten Path 1. Go to Dead Man's Gorge. 2. Enter the right portal. 3. Enter the middle portal OR go right 1 portal. Spoiler: Forgotten Path .. Evil Rising 1. Starting from Haunted House, enter the rightmost portal. 2. Enter the portal that is smackbang in the middle of the map. There should be a tree to the left of it. 3. Go 1 portal left and enter. 4. Enter the leftmost portal. 5. Find the wooden sign on the top half of the map and press up. Spoiler: Evil Rising .. The Evil Dead 1. Go to Dead Man's Gorge 2. Enter the rightmost portal. 3. Go 3 portals right and enter. 4. Go 2 portals left and enter. 5. Go 1 portal left and enter. 6. Find the wooden sign on the top-middle of the map and press up.An easy way to remember this is "3, 2, 1". Spoiler: The Evil Dead .. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Mobs. To kill or not to kill. Most bosses will only spawn if you kill the mobs in their respective maps after a certain time period. For instance, after you kill Pianus, you must wait 8 hours (not 100% sure on its spawn rate) AND then kill the black spikey mobs in the map for it to spawn again. BF follows the same concept. That means killing the mobs will guarantee BF spawns, BUT only if the spawn rate time matches up. You could be killing mobs for no reason most of the times. However, you will also be completely fine cycling through the maps with Netflix/anime/kino on the side. That is a method that requires less attention as you only look back occasionally to see if you died because you bumped into BF. The downside is that you are relying on the notion that somebody already killed the mobs on the map but had already left. Personally, I had always cycled through the maps on my mount without killing any mobs. It is much easier for my brain to switch into autopilot mode, and it does eventually bump me into BF. TLDR: Killing mobs = more reliable, but longer, and less autopilot-oriented. Not killing mobs = less reliable, but quicker, and more autopilot-oriented. (Thank you @Tardex for bringing this up and confirming the mob-spawn-BF aspect) ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ I apologize for the format, and thank you for reading! Happy BF hunting!
