How do I get Genesis Skill?

I've just reached lv 120. and followed some guide so I'm done with the quests and am trying to get the HTPQ pre quest done. The only problem is I can't seem to get Manon's cry. (sigh)

Is this THE ONLY way to get Life roots?

 

how long does it take for Manon to respawn?

 

I remembered that the drop rate was set extremely low, those killing for me (they also had the quest to get into horntail's cave active) couldn't find it either. I ended up having to call a GM over to have Manon's cry spawned in. This was like 2-3 weeks ago though, not sure if they're still doing this. Worth a try!

 

It took me and two friends about 12 Manons to get a cry each.

So the droprate isn't that bad really.

 

Well, it's supposed to be an 80% drop rate.

Meaning 8/10 Manon's are supposed to drop it.

 

I got one on my 6th manon.

Which is a bitch when you're a bishop who does 3k per hit.

sometimes two drop from one, but usually at least one drops.
