I'm a new player at Royals, and currently Lv.72 hermit. I've been mostly grinding monsters to level up, and I think its time to think of items I need. My equips are att49 Skanda, att10 work glove, luk18 sauna robe, and else are basic items without much scrolling

I have about 300M, and would like to know what should be the first priority item. It's pure luck sin now, but I'll transit to normal(low dex) sin at some point.

Also, I guess Zhelm is one of the must have item, but then I was stuck with the prequest (too frustrating to do). Is there any way to skip that prequest and just jump into Zakum? I was going to buy Zhelm, but heard that I need to do the prequest first.

Lastly, I'm getting tired of grinding zombies.... any other comparable place for training? I've tried several places but none of them could beat forest of dead trees

    Gonna be straight to the point here;
You wanna stop what you're doing, make a new priest, train it up to a bishop, and maybe consider remaking your character.
Unless endgame bossing isn't your thing, you're not going to be able to go ht as you wouldn't have enough hp to survive. (an estimated 10k).
Yes the reality is a little harsh and it totally kills nostalgia, but the fact is you need to hp wash in this server if you want to get the full experience from it.

Alternatively you can continue this character and maybe miss out on the end game boss, in that case what you'd like is to still get 3.5k~hp without hb before attempting zak.) that's the bare minimum to survive).

As for training, There's other places to go, namely lmpq at ludi and ppq at mulung. Give them a try for something refreshing.

Yes it's unpleasant to learn about hp washing, but it seems to be a process everyone goes through. And lastly, welcome to royals, enjoy your leech stay. 0:)

There is more than one way of playing Royals. Some people do all what you say (self-leech, HP/MP wash and gain good DPS for bossing) but still they don't get "the full experience" because they miss out on other aspects. What is "the full experience" anyway? The taste varies from one person to another.
This behavior we have here at the Royals community... I feel it in some sense excluding one category of players, and I don't think this is desirable.

Anyway, I like how you phrased yourself, and it's good that you are informing new players on the things that older players talk about.

A while ago, I recommended guy (also Lv.7x Hermit) to try out Windraiders. I have not heard what he thought about it, but until proven wrong, I believe it's one of the best monster training spots (besides PQs, I don't know about those. Try the aforementioned PQs too, I think they'll be fun).

You are quite right about Zhelm. I strongly recommend that you get one. You will need to do those prequests at some point anyway, so why not do them now?
If you have more questions about Zakum and Zakum prequests, feel free to ask. You can also search this forum, because there is a lot of good information about it.

For training spots, the mentioned ones above like pq's and windraiders should do the trick. You could also try even mp3 if windraiders gets a little tough for you.

For equips, yes get the zhelm asap. If you mean the jq is frustrating and un-doable, there's an alternative questline to that jq, Other 2 quests however you need to get through with ... You only need to do zakum prequests only once so .. Yeah .. Just do them.
Also pump some dex until you have enough to wear your end game (lv80 pirate set most likely) top/bottom. Use some dex from earrings and the dex you get from a zhelm and add in base dex until you wear them. With a decently scrolled top/bottom, you should have enough dex to be able to wear one of the claws (craven/dragon sleeve). As you go further along the way and improve your gear, you can lower that base dex and add into base luk using ap resets. Worry about your att gear (pgc/fs) last.

As for hp washing, it isn't obligatory to wash of course, but it is an expected luxury. If you want to do end game boss HT, then you would need to wash at least until around 6k hp (but then you'd be dependent on having HB in your party). 6k isn't too hard to achieve with minimal int but it's always nice to invest your money in some int gear to put on while leveling up if you don't want to restart the character and if you want to reach somewhere around 6k hp. It's never a crime not to hp wash or to go on ht at a later level when you're ready.

Just play and have fun the way you want to :D

Don't listen to that noise OP.

Let me clarify. With HB, you will be able to partake in all bosses but a select few. The important ones being Zakum and Horntail. Now, a lot of people will push for washing, but if that isn't the experience you want, then that's great. It sounds like you've been getting along great and just want some help with what is honestly "hell levels" for almost all classes.

You might want to try sniping Windraiders in one of the HH maps. (Which i just realized scrolling up someone else also suggested :p)

If you aren't in a guild yet, I suggest finding one. It helps keep the monotony out of the game, and a good guild won't care that you haven't washed, or that your damage isn't the best. Feel free to send me a buddy request in game as well if you have more questions.
