Well since v83 have arrived, i thought this map would be added as part of v83 feature. Why i consider this is a good feature to add it? -Because you dont need programming nothing just allow the acces to this map. -3 new training spots would be added. -I know this maps are "new" if you see from v62 perspective, i don't know about you but this maps are part of my childhood. ¿What i mean? Rotting Skeleton Level: 20 HP: 850 EXP: 74 Dead Scarecrow Level: 50 HP: 3,300 EXP: 220 Twisted Jester Level: 70 HP: 50,00 EXP: 1,325 Note: Exp based on x1 GMS There is a video about the training spot...
Matt has already previously stated he won't implement those maps because of how good the exp is to avoid rendering the other alternatives obsolete
Someone said before "We're gonna remove FM-WRAP-BUTTON- because MRoyal become a GMS-LIKE" BUTTTTTTTTT WAITT...for other things Royals takes other decision so I don't understand, the game will be a GMS-LIKE? YES OR NOT.
I don't think they generally mean GMS, I think it's more that the game feels less like a private server & more like how the actual game should be.
I do hope MR staff can reconsider. Opening an new training spot would mean less crowding in all the existing training spots.
But we already have more channels, and mini dungeons will be coming in the future. Not to mention the change in some popular training areas that has already happened, for example MP3 being better than GS2 now, and the fact it can accommodate more players on the map than GS2 can. But even regardless of that, I think it would be nice to see possible changes to hp/exp ratios of some currently quite bad but nostalgic areas such as the depths of Ludibrium clock tower to make them a more suitable training spot.
Will the Royals staff consider adding the chimney map with the jester, but making the jester immune to holy, ice, and fire (keeping the leechers away from this map), and weak/normal to heal, poison and lightning? This will give people more incentive to grind, map share, and party like old school GMS community instead of 95% of the player base buying leech/self leech like what we have now in Royals. Grinding is significantly slower than leech by ten folds. If we can close the gap between the grinding speed and leeching speed a little by offering an alternative good grinding map, maybe we will revive the old school grind fest a little. Even with the chimney map, leeching will still be faster so leeching will still be viable.
I just remember the map being...exceptionally good, like all other places (even Kerning Square, which was good) were absolutely terrible. My concern is this becoming too good, and I suspect this is part of the reason why it's kept out.
I agree with this. It seems like it could become the "only" training area for lvl 50-100 just like it was in GMS. In GMS, if you didn't train at scarecrows or jesters, you were training wrong. I feel like there would have to be some sort of nerf to it if it were to be added. I know grinding is significantly slower than leeching, but that map would make grinding a little too fast for my tastes.
I agree that map is really good for grinding compared to all the other maps that we have today. However, what I enjoyed the most back in old school GMS was the grind fest with friends and guildies in the same map chatting and smashing monsters. I apologize for being blunt honest, but IMO the grinding community on royals is near extinct as of today. Almost nobody party at wolf spiders, MP3, GS, ULU, Hime, newtie, skele, and petri anymore. Sure you may run into one of two people grinding, but that's maybe 1 out of 20 channels. The rest will be occupied by leechers with afk people. If we can offer an exceptional grinding map to revive the grind fest, and alter the jesters elemental immunity to keep the leechers away. I believe that may be a positive feature for the community.
Yea but grinding at jester will still be significantly slower than leeching. Offering people a "fast" map to grind is better than seeing nobody grind IMO.
I agree it is apple to orange, but leeching speed being so fast and cost effective is what's driving people away from grinding though.
I'd like to note that I'm not trying to start an debate or argument. There is really no right or wrong answer to this. I'm just voicing my personal opinion/feedback regarding this topic. Everyone have a nice Royals day!
