So I've seen quite a few hero's who use that particular sword and I was wondering, why do they? Does it end up being more damage with it's faster attack? And if that IS the case, I'm a level 86 with 60 base dex, would be worth it putting AP onto dex to use it by 100?
I use a stonetooth mainly because: 1) They look really cool. 2) Dragon Claymores are harder to find - I haven't found one in the FM for over a week now. I have 65 base DEX, and the rest comes from equips. Don't put more AP into DEX, if you can.
I was wondering the same exact thing. I recently bought a 119 attack ST, is that extra DEX worth it? (as of now I have 4 base dex)
In the Pre Big Bang Damage Calculator, One-Hand Swords are multiplied by 1.1 whereas Two-Hand Swords are multipled by 1.29. With that being said, the 100 Sparta is the same speed as a Stonetooth. To have a Sparta equal a Stonetooth in DPS, you'll need a hefty shield which isn't too hard nowadays. The Stonetooth just simplifies equipment in a way (Aside from the added DEX) and sets you for bossing range of accuracy. Also, don't count DEX out too much, it gives a little bit of Damage Range and stability.
The Facts: One - Handed has a Weapon Coefficient of 4 x STR Two - Handed has a Weapon Coefficient of 4.6 x STR The Stonetooth is a favorable weapon because it has the stronger multiplier with the Fast [5] speed of most One-handed weapons. Because the lunchbox doesnt exist here, one of the best options is a ST, and when comparing to one-handed weapons (Except Red Katana), it's just a matter of which gives you the largest damage range. Blast is the same for 1h and 2h but for brandish the 2h brandish has a much larger vertical hitbox, which allowed 2h-heros to pin Anego on the bookshelf (As shown in this video here)
