So, I've never actually played a bowmen class... ever... On Europe maplestory I mained a hero, f/p and a Sin. In all the years I never even tried a bow class. Was hopeing you pro bowmaster players could give me some tips n' tricks. My wife is low lvl leeching me to 75 then I'll take over and leech it to 135 with my f/p. Hp washing life... So I won't actually even use any skills until 135 lol. I guess I'll use this thread to ask questions as they come up. First one, why is it all the scrolled gear I see is scrolled for DEX? Is it because you need so much STR for weapons it's better to use AP for the MW benifit? I only know thieves, but we try and keep everything scrolled for our secondary stat so we get more of benifit with MW on our primary stat. And what's the BiS for bowmasters?
It doesn't matter if you scroll for primary or secondary stat, you get the same stats in the end. It's like that for thieves too cause MW will also buff your base DEX so you eventually end up with the same stats. DEX for archers is actually a bit better cause it has 100% event overall scrolls and you can't have more than 999 DEX since new source so you'd have to raise some base STR later anyway. Also I have no idea what is BiS lol
BiS = best in slot. Beat gear. And MW doesn't effect equips, only base stats? That's why on thieves you try and get all your dex from equips so you can go full LUK. But yea? I guess at lvl 190+ you would hit the cap for AP.
Yeah but it actually doesn't matter cause if you have high base Dex you'd get more Dex from MW so it balances it. Like if you have 900 Luk and 25 Dex you get +90 Luk and +2 Dex from MW, giving you +92 in total. If you had 870 Luk and 55 Dex you'd get +87 and +5, also giving you +92 in total. I'd just scroll based on what scroll is cheaper. And you can't hit the cap on NL, you'd get 997 Luk at lvl 200.
