After finding a bunch of (old) extra "HumbleBundle" steam/origin keys, I decided to hold a contest that everyone could participate in. Unfortunately, I wanted to only limit it to the forums so that means: poems, poems, and more poems.

The way prizing will work:
First prize -- First pick; 1 or 2 game(s) --depends on how many people participate
Second prize -- Second pick; 1 game
Third prize -- Third pick; 1 game
Fourth prize(??? Also depends on how many people participate) -- Fourth pick; 1 game


Whatever games are leftover I will save for another contest I will hold (won't be poetry!)


Rules:
1- The poem must be Maplestory/MapleRoyal related
2- You can only enter once
3- There is no limit on how long or short the poem can be
4- When it comes to grammar and spelling... 'E' for effort
5- If your post is edited, it will not be taken into consideration (This is to ensure you're posting YOUR 'final' work
6- Have fun with it! They don't necessarily have to be serious/funny, whatever you feel is your best work, post!
*7- Roses are Red poems... please be more extensive than just that ): (I will accept the common three lines but your submission will only be considered if you are to expand on it further: add in more lines, etc).

*special rule

PROTIP: You can make the poem about your character, a boss, a combination of the two, hanging out in the fm, virtually anything maplestory/mapleroyals related!

Raps do count as poetry!1!!1 - I've got a few questions asked regarding this, added 1s for emphasis.


Since they are of such 'great value', I will follow through with the event if this generates enough contestants/those interested.

That isn't necessarily correct for real haiku. Also the plural for haiku is just haiku.

 

I have changed up ONE of the rules so I will allow anyone that's posted before me, if you so choose to, you may repost a submission pertaining to that rule. (Rule 7)

EDIT: I have also edited how prizing will work for the time being, if you guys would like to choose more than one game, etc: generate more interest by letting your friends know about it (getting more people to participate) and I might consider doing it differently. You can PM/Post ideas towards prizing. I just thought it'd be fun to give away something I'm really not using.

I have updated when the last possible date an entry can be submitted and would also like to announce that I will not be judging the contest alone: Chen/Nokom's opinion will also weigh in with the decision making. Prizing is still dependent on how many participants take part: First prize picks two games and there's a forth winner. If this event doesn't seem fitting to you: I will host one or two more (different theme) with the leftover games, being that I have so many.

Recollection

Oh how the times have changed, I say
To the MapleStory we see before us today
From the multitudes of jobs to the easy levels
This new game is nothing special
Now let's travel back, if you will
To the pastime we all know and thrill

This old maple was nothing fancy
Simple, amusing, a daily habit
Come home from school, to the computer! We'd run rapid
Grinding, months and months on end
