Hello, I'm planning to make a hybrid Dk and so far I got the main idea of the main spells needed. Maxing Spear Crusher, Dragon Fury PA, Dragon Roar and Elemental Resistance. I read that Dragon Blood isn't useful since there are better items to boost the attack and it could get you killed while bossing. My question is, what do most people put the remaining SP on? Is power crash useful? I'm baffled on where the remaining skill points should be invested in, but so far I'm thinking about maxing sacrifice. Any suggestions are appreciated and thanks
Low level of sacrifice is good for maintaining berserk so keep it as low as 3. Dragon blood is alright in the long run if you use it to train since I don't think anyone will use stoppers to train unless they're very rich or can farm themselves, just make sure it's off from the macro or keys when you're bossing. Or you can just max spear fury for an extra utility if there's nothing else you want to max.
I chose to max spear fury. Dragon blood is no use and can kill you when Zak 1/1. Eventually beholder will give u wa15.. Sacrifice at lvl3 is useful to drop health to beserk range.
Power Crash isn't really useful because it doesn't apply to bosses. It can help remove weapon defense up from Bone Fish and Bombing Fish House, but... by the time you max this skill, you'll already be grinding in other places. At the moment, I can't think of other monsters this skill would work on. (Well, technically it removes Weapon Attack Up from monster like Skelesaurus, but... who would bother with this anyway) In my opinion, it's a completely useless skill. I put 1 point in it because I wanted to see the animation, but I would have been better off adding it into Begginer's Skill Recovery While this is true, and I know some DKs choose to use this skill, I'd prefer using Warrior Elixirs or Ciders. The benefit with Dragon Blood I guess would be that you can save 1 slot in Use Inventory, and of course you get the cool animation when draining your HP every few seconds... More points into Sacrifice will make it drain less HP, which is counterproductive because mostly you will use this skill to get down into Berserk. I guess maxing Sacrifice could be fun if you wanted to see some high numbers of damage (350+140% x 200% with SE? That's 980% and might get you a 6 digit hit, who knows?) Personally, I choose to max Spear Fury like Pilloz above (useful for clearing mobs in Zakum for example) Well, now I've just said everything that has already been said in this thread... except: "Good luck with your DK and Happy Mapling"
Thanks for the amazing replies! That makes sense, I guess maxing sacrifice would ruin its purpose in a sense. I'll probably end up maxing spear fury aswell, thanks again for the suggestions
I was wondering regarding beholder giving me wa15. I've read that you should stop at lvl 16 since the buff from the hex beholder skill doesn't stack with other pot buffs or something. Did this change? If anyone could let me know about the hex beholder skill and whether I should stop raising it at lvl 16/20. Thanks again ^_^
I believe this has changed (quite long time ago, even). As far as I know, Hex does not remove for example a Heartstopper (making your ATT drop from 60 to 15) but it will also not stack in the sense of adding +15 making a total of 85. However, I can not confirm its effect because I have not yet added to this skill personally (just a few levels to go though) I too would appreciate information from some higher leveled DK on this one.
I see, alright thanks. I guess it still makes sense to stop at lvl 16 then since it won't stack with other att pots
