This new "telecasting" delay NEEDS to not be a thing.

I'm afraid I did not know my ping beforehand, or how to check.

Neither of the videos represent what happens in-game for me.
What does happen when holding down the potion key, is:

    -Potion sound indicating it's use
-For 1 second, no other inputs for any of the listed actions in the OP will register (Including using another potion)
-After said 1 second, potion is used
    -Repeat

EDIT: My bad; holding down the potions key does in fact give the same visual as your Low-Ping example, Andreas. Though it does still come with that delay that allows none of the other action inputs.

Before this update, there was no down-time for other inputs. While my actions were still slow to register, I could at least input them at any rate, and the server would catch up. I didn't have to wait for them to register first before the next input.

Here's a video demonstration; it may be better than words.

This is absolutely brutal and it needs to be fixed. Even if it's because of the server switching to Russia, it's still an issue that needs to be resolved. Maybe a Russian based server just isn't an option (assuming that is what is causing it)?

I thought this is just an old function of the game, it has been there when like 2-3 years ago, whenever zakum 1/1 and I use all cure, the pet never pot me. Died several times tho.

This is exactly the change that was made, and I suppose it is an attempt to counter telecast, all the while disregarding all the effort and method used to reduce latency by Nexon.
"They didn't treat the latency as a thing". My friend who is an OG player just quitted Royals 3 hours in the update because of this.
Please change it back like it was. I could not be care less about telecast but this is not the way to fix it (nor does it need to be fixed anyway???).
And thank you @Kleric for making this thread. I've been waiting for it.

Something needs done. Looting is now awkwardly slow and mages are a nightmare to use because of how clunky their attacks and movements are now.

I have to agree, this delay just makes the whole experience feel clunky and slow. I hope they investigate whats causing this delay and clunky experience so that the experience feels smooth and enjoyable again like it was pre-patch.

Was wondering what was going on. Did a 2 hour grind a petris today and looting felt really weird. Was dropping stuff for my mule to pick up.

Can you give me the server IP so I can ping it. I did notice the game seemed to run a bit faster for entering portals and even logging in was a lot quicker. Going in and out of cash shop, etc. That would make sense though cause I'm in Sweden. But it doesn't look like the looting issue is cause by ping, because I still get it. Using pots is a bit buggy for me as well.

This has truly been a terrible experience. I understand the fairness of removing telecast but introducing massive delay issues in gameplay should not be the tradeoff. Dropping items takes forever now and skills dont always activate when I use them

Completely agree... Removing Tele casting is fine, but is definitely not worth the discomfort of every player on the server.

Hope they fix it soon enough

I think you guys are totally offbase. Telecasting needed to be removed and the game plays JUST fine, only a SLIGHT delay that is totally normal. Patch improved gameplay ALOT.

I don't even see any reason to remove it, it's not like it harmed anybody. HP Washing is a lot more game-breaking than tele cast and is much better to be removed.

After the patch I’ve gotten such a long delay between my macro (Blessing -> HS -> sinvincible) between HS and Invincible.

Is that inentional or something? I have no delay between blessing and hs.

Since the day I joined royals till this day, I have never sold a single hour of mage leech and grinded & NPCed equips to get to where I am now. However, after trying ulu 1 ~2 grinding for few minutes after this update, I completely gave up grinding as mage. I'm now parking both my mages in voodoos map to afk farm stoppers since that's not influenced by delays.

I hope somebody mentioned this before. Before the update, I could throw away items none stop before the previous item has landed on the ground, allowing quick transfer of potions and etc. NOW, I cannot click on other items until the previously tossed item reaches its highest point in air. Maybe this was intended as well but.... It's SOOO irritating

Trying to loot these event tickets is the most grooling thing I have done in the server in recent times. The delay is extremely bad when trying to use potions, dropping items, and when looting anything. I don't think this is intentional but if it is I hope you decide to reverse it <3

According to @Kai this is an intended feature. However he said he was gonna ask management to write up an announcement about it

IDK whats so big deal about telecast, but I feel playing it exactly like 20 years ago with 64 kpbs whenever i loot/drop items/cast skills. Only frustration grows.

In my personal opinion, I don't see how telecasting is a negative thing for the game. Whatever the changes were exactly, or whatever it is that is affecting the game now though, I have found a strong dislike for. I rarely ever use my mage anymore, and when I did, I didn't ever telecast on it because I didn't care to learn that, so I never saw it as a problem. As a Night Lord, I can no longer Flash Jump and cast Triple Throw until the moment I land. And casting buffs is just abysmal. Give us the little things that made this game fun back.

Honestly, I don't feel harmed by people who do that.
But in general, it's a glitch abuse, and people who do it kills mobs faster than should, getting more drops/meso.

Only issue is that, whatever they did to remove it, made an unwanted mess.

The client changes for delays wasn't made to stop telecasting, that was simply a side effect (a side effect we are fine with). The biggest problem I can remember was related to the speed of dropping mesos resulting in legit players being disconnected, or should I say will cause disconnects, this was a preemptive solution, and unfortunately it had some severe drawbacks we didn't properly catch in testing.

Like has already been said this is still being looked into, and once we have a proper solution to these issues we will release a new client. We won't leave it this way.
I also want to point out that due to the server move you will see ping differences, and that will not be resolved by a new client, and we will have to investigate what options we have in that area.
