This is not a type of feedback thread in anyway, I am not asking for a wipe this is purely hypothetical, I am only looking to discover how our current player-base would feel if everything was to be completely reset. I have seen a few people recently talking about being at a disadvantage and the game being not fun for new players due to the fact that much of our current player-base has already completed end game content I.E. multiple level 200s, lack of a leaderboard system and an economy that is becoming worse due too the amount of meso in circulation. Although those problems would arise again with time as players quit and new players join, but this is strictly an interesting question I have been thinking of recently where I would like the communities input into why they think this would be a good or a bad idea, and if or if not it would be cool to have a fresh start for everyone. Ill post as many pros/cons i can think of and see what everyone discusses after. pros: -Fresh start everyone is on an even playing field. - Could likely result in an increase in new players - all character slots opened up - Would be fun to start over (my opinion) - Everyone has the opportunity to learn from past experiences, to make it better I.E washing. - Things could likely become better overall for the server. Con's: - You lose everything (obviously the biggest issue with a wipe) - Loss of time invested - Could likely result in many older players leaving the server. - 0 economy whatsoever and likely would be a struggle getting decent gear in the first few months. - Many people would probably start as mages and there would be a lack of variety in classes. As I said this is purely hypothetical and would just like your input on how you would feel about this and a nice discussion as to any other pros/cons you could think about and a reason why you feel the way you do.
I'd quit if there was a wipe, too lazy to level characters all over again. Most people would probably quit too Also as long as you don't fix current problems (remove HP wash and give everyone more HP, make grinding and PQs more effective instead of leeching all levels, finish all new source updates etc) it won't help the server at all, and it will become just like it is today eventually just with a significantly lower population.
I'm pretty new and I think a wipe is pretty dumb. The whole point of an mmo is sustained progress over time. Roll a new world if anything cause at least with a new world you'd have enfranchised players checking it out of curiosity instead of quitting in disgust.
I think a wipe would be dumb given how far the general population has progressed (if it happens, I'll quit as well..like, who wouldn't?). A smarter move would be to launch a new world instead.
I’m with kai, a new server would be a better idea but u run the risk of dividing the population and just having 2 desolate servers
Wipe would be disastrous for the server. If the royals population ever increases though, I'd like a new world without cancerous HP washing, would be better for new players too.
One of the best parts about Royals IMO, is its nostalgic community which took time to grow I imagine. With another wipe, it would probably become extinct. Not the entire population, but most of it probably. Furthermore, a server that had promessed no further wipes, and does it anyway. Well doesn't look that appealing, now does it? Not for old OR new players. I'm pretty sure there are also other people who do their research before just picking a server to play on, and wouldn't waste their time on one as such. Take DestinyMS for example.
I'm with other people above. Instead of wiping Scania, open a second "world" like bera, windia, Bora, etc like GMS so people can choose to start over there.
I would 100% quit if there was a server wipe lol. I like this game, but I would not reLVL a mage, buy books, gear it by scratch, and sell leech for days to fund a new main. There is nothing positive that can come from a wipe. The community of PROS in MSRoyals are very kind and are more then happy to help new players with carries and advice. If anything the PROS help new players by handing down their good mid-tier gear on a regular bases.

I would quit, but I do like the idea of a new world opening up. Changing the rates maybe, or even if it was kept identical I don't think that is an issue either.
I don't care either way anymore. I worked hard on my characters and I am still not wealthy. But I'm glad to say once again I never leeched or got leeched. That's what makes me happy. But the annoyance of the crashing and the errors, and the nastiness of a lot of players in this game, not to mention losing exp on a lvl 135 to some jerk summoning in hens,I would not care anymore if it were even gone. I got my 3 lvl 200's in GMS. I've got nothing to prove here. I don't even care about lvl 200 here. I arrived thinking there would be an older crowd to make friends with. Instead, there are 12 yr olds and seeing the smegas, it seems there are no mature people on this server. So wipe it,dump it, I don't mind. I have another game to play anyway. I put up with everything here long enough. I'm just sorry I donated because I thought I was helping keep the server going. And things would be fixed. *As we sit here with no game to play again right now*
A new server with 2x exp rate & 1x drop rate would be a dream come true for me. For it to work out,we would need an anti-hack system so cheaters don't get advantage over fair players by hacking and transfering unfairly gained items to their friends. I'm quite positive it will never happen tho. A man can always dream.
I'd definitely quit if there was wipe lol. Another server would be the right way to go assuming the population keeps growing.
