"Where should I train?" This is a common question that we have all either asked or received recently. I have made an app which will serve as a tool to help you decide where to train. It includes a list of all monsters in MapleRoyals, and calculates required accuracy based on your level. It also shows monster data such as HP, Level and EXP making it easy to find the ideal monster for your character. This is the first "real" app I have made, as I progress on learning coding for Android. Any feedback, advice, suggestions or criticism is welcomed. If you like it a lot, please give it 5 stars. If it's nice but in need of some imrpovements, please give it 4 stars. If you think it's very bad and a threat to humankind, give it 1 star (but I hope it's not that bad) Spoiler: Unfortunately, this app is currently unavailable This app was taken down from Google Play, probably because something in it is no longer in accordance with their policies. I need to take time to review these policies, possibly update the app. I have wanted to do this, but in truth, it's quite far down my priority list. I'm not an active Mapler or hobby programmer anymore. If anyone is interested in continuing the development of this app, please send me an inbox message and I'll hopefully reply with information on how you can access the code and create your own version of it. Spoiler: Old Stuff If you're reading this on your phone, just go ahead an download it by pressing the badge below: If you're reading this on your computer, grab that precious Android device and scan this QR code: Enjoy ~
I've done some tweaks on this one so I decided to release a new minor version update. Previous version showed incorrect EXP for Krexel, and its image was blurry. This is now fixed. Also, I've added Lyka to the database, as well as Zakum's "minions" (it can be interesting to know whether or not you can hit the blue ones - Opachu). I've also done some minor programmatical improvements such as re-design of certain features, allowing for a multi-purpose calculator in the future... Feedback, advice, suggestions or criticism is welcomed.
I liked the app. What are you planning to add for the damage calculator? If you could also add a list of magic needed to 1-hit each monster with gen/bliz/meteor that would also be extremely useful. This seems like a lot of work though, anyway good job with the app!
There is already a good app for Magic Damage Calculation, here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/magic-damage-calculator-for-android.88241/ I am not experienced with playing magicians myself, so I will probably never add such a feature in my own app. However, I am currently working on something similar but for non-mage classes. The calculator will use the same monster database as the Accuracy Calculator, and by inputting some data (like ATT, STR, DEX, LUK) it will calculate what damage you will deal to that monster, as well as damage per second (or minute). Right now I am creating a database of skills. After that, I need to look over the coding of the calculator itself, and then just create some simple graphics in Photoshop and finally test it. I dare not say exactly, but it could be released in the beginning of week 11. Thanks for your comment, and I'm glad to hear your feedback and that you liked the app
That seems like an amazing idea! Good luck working on it, and please do update this thread when you do Thanks for linking the magic damage calculator app
Does this apply to mage as well? I was only able to deal 1 dmg on Jr. Wraiths when I was Lv.30, is it an accuracy problem or INT/Dmg low problem?
It does not apply to mages. They use a completely different way to calculate hit chance and I'm not even sure if the Accuracy stat is part of that formula. Like you say though, I'm pretty sure Level is a big part of it. I think you can hit them much easier (if not 100%) when you reach Lv. 35 It shouldn't take long for an experienced magician to answer your question though, given the huge amount of them in this server Let's wait and see.
What about DPS calculator? Calculate DPM based on your max/min clean range, buff, attack potions, weapon speed, and attack skill.
In fact, I started working on exactly that but then I kind of lost motivation. I am currently not actively developing the app nor playing the game, but I hope to continue the programing in the future. Currently, my DPS calculator is just available in my own phone and it calculates DPS/DPM for DK skills only, hehe...
Yeah! Thanks for the Swswi reply. I thought of this because in the "Percent/Hour" thread I saw a Lv.40 cleric was able to gain 3M EXP/1000% per hour when training at Ghost Ship 2 where the mob is Slimy(Lv.63).
Apparently some Android 5.0 user from Canada considers my app a threat to humankind. Maybe it is but I would love to hear why. As I've been clear with before, I appreciate all forms of criticism but it's not very helpful when I get a 1-star review without comment. (Giving low rating is okay - I would do it myself because I still have lots of improvements in mind for this app). If you who are dissatisfied with the app read this, please send me a private message here on the forums or on my developer mail in Google Play. Please help me improve. To all the other 24 active users of this app, I want to say thank you for trying out my app and also apology for the lack of updates. I have plans but no time, and therefore I haven't coded for the last 2 months. I'm aware of some crashes happening on primarily Android 7.0 and 7.1 and I will try to fix these as soon as possible. Happy Mapling, and make sure not to "miss a thing" with this app... hehe.
4 months ago was the last time I released an update for this app. I can now announce that a new update is here. However, it's nothing fancy or grand like the coming Royals update hehe... I have redesigned the user interface to make it more ideal (in my opinion) for a touch screen. The newest version can be tested out in an open beta test channel using this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/se.olkensway.maplecalculator (it might take a while for the app to become available on Google Play) The official version on Google Play will still be the old one (1.0.1) in case anybody prefers the old user interface. Feedback, advice, suggestions or criticism is welcomed. Happy Mapling!
Very cool idea and great job for making it. Unfortunately I use iOS so I cannot use it nor review it. Do you have any plans to release an iOS version or will it very likely remain only for Android? Either way, thanks for helping out even if I personally cannot reap the benefits.
Nice to hear that you like the idea! Sadly, developing for iOS is problematic. To access the App Store with your apps you need to pay like 99 bucks. Compare it with what I paid to access Google Play which is just like 25. The second thing is, Apple don't seem to like windows much, so I would need to get a Mac to access the best tools for app developent (even though I'm sure it would be possible in some tricky way on another type of computer too) The third thing is the least of the issues but I believe I'd need to learn another language to develop for iPhone. I've heard that people use Objective C but maybe Java works as well. Java is what I use to make Android apps, but other languages work too, such as C#. I will probably never make this app (or any other) for iPhone for these reasons and also other reasons which I don't need to mention here hehe. I chose Android because it's "nicer" to small hobby developers and code enthusiasts like me. Good news for you is that I target Android versions down to 4.1 with this app, which means you could get an old, cheap Android to test out crazy apps like mine
Came across this and its pretty handy. Probably the damage calc update and some ui fixes (might have to do with screen size since its 2018) would be great.
Very good RPN calculator that's easy on the eyes and has snappy response. While I have no issues running it on Android 10, it's not been updated since 2015 and lacks a feature or two that I would like to see implemented, so one star off for those reasons. Still, an excellent app that I use multiple times a day.
I'm sorry. This app was taken down from Google Play, probably because something in it is no longer in accordance with their policies. I need to take time to review these policies, possibly update the app, before it can re-appear on Play Store. I have wanted to do this, but in truth, it's quite far down my priority list. I'm not an active Mapler or hobby programmer anymore. If anyone is interested in continuing the development of this app, please send me an inbox message and I'll hopefully reply with information on how you can access the code and create your own version of it.
