?

Would you like a newer training area to be added to help later levels?

What's up all! Of course by the title, got a quick question~f11.

    DISCLAIMER:

I KNOW NEO CITY WAS LATER VERSION AND SUCH, I'M JUST SIMPLY PROPOSING A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION FOR MORE DUNGEONS/TRAINING AREAS. THANK YOU, PLEASE DON'T BE FIRING SHOTS JUST HERE TO HELP LMAO! LOVE YOU ALL <3

Been here for a while, so I'm not saying this without reason:8):.

One of the most amazing achievements for players starting, is getting to 4th job. The beloved level 120, the dream most people never got to achieve way back in the day. You get you're job advancement, and you're confused of what to do next. I know I'm not the only one! I'm sick of leeching my own characters, and people that do the same are annoyed as well, it's boring as hell! And newer players? They got nothing to leech themselves so 120-135 is painful as hell. Now of course y'all will say 105-120 is the same, but realistically you need leech from 90-120 if you don't do Temple of Time, which still takes a long time and requires leech to get higher levels.

Regardless, the point is there should be another alternative area for leveling from 120-135 or above. Temple of Time is good, you can start at 90, which is fine, but it gets harder for newer players. By 120, the ToT quests become bland, only till Road of Regrets ish.

I know an argument arising that Temple of Time is good enough is simple, and I live in Temple of Time, it's fantastic. But my point here is if anyone has ideas or wants to explain some new areas and dungeons to do to help the later levels for the people that aren't leeching themselves and actually want to enjoy their class, and the game lmao.

I'm not trying to make this un-nostalgic or not old maple and such, but a lot of the things aren't very fitting but are here you know? Just trying to create something to close the level gaps that take most players a very, very long time, and a very EXPENSIVE time.

Plus, just putting this out there.... Ninja Castle is utterly, and entirely USELESS for lower levels. Quests suck, you can't continue quests when you didn't wash when you get to Samurai Boss which hits like a truck, and only the true end game people can continue and do Toad. Hell, the only purpose IS Toad. That eye accessory is nice, don't get me wrong. Nice for the 5% of people that can get it LOL!

I'm more of wanting to see this go in a direction of helping newer players, and making players enjoy more of the game and the nostalgia~f15.

Neo Tokyo would be hype and refreshing, as long as it's the JMS version. I wouldn't be opposed to a buffed GMS version either.

You know what I would be in love with? A nerfed version of Lionheart Castle for lvl 140+ (I mean giving much less exp than the original one)

without including the boss or the weapons you could get there, I mean the best endgame weapons we should ever get are timeless / reverse and VIP gear...

Training at LHC in a full party could be really fun... Better than training solo or with a HS mule

I’d like LHC too. Tbh, even if it wasn’t nerfed at all, it shouldn’t be too OP. EXP might seem too fast if you watch old videos of it, but you have to remember that people had better mobbing capabilities and stronger damage than what we’d have in Royals. So even if it’s very high EXP, kills will be a lot slower therefore maybe already balancing it out.

And about the weapons, I highly doubt even reverse/timeless and VIP would ever come out either since there would be outrage from the elite members of the game.

I actually think that they are the ones who want timeless / reverse / vip more than anyone else... once you have done everything in the game it becomes boring, having to scroll new weapons is always something fun to do... Plus they are the ones with the funds to do so... so it wouln't be such a drag to replace your perfect dragon weapon with a perfect timeless / reverse

On the other hand you got noobs like me who cant even afford a decent weapon...

I personally agree with that, but looking from their point of view, they have to scroll a completely new weapon again to maintain their status as the elites which they find it unfair to have to put in effort again. This is also why, for exemple, MoNs from CWKPQ is another controversial topic since if those are released, HTPs become useless for all W.ATK users. Or helms from Scarga too. Even if I disagree with it, their stuborness to refuse changes to the current meta is admirable in a way.

Going back to the topic of this thread tho, if not adding LHC, what about adding the party play system to ToT? That could be another solution; it’s understandable that some people haven’t played MapleStory as long as others so they’d feel uncomfortable in unfamiliar maps, so I think bringing that system to existing maps could be a solution too. Problem with that is that it would probably take way more work to balance/code things instead of directly implement LHC.
