I'm curious, I've read a few times now and seen people in game talk about it. Apparently, soul arrow doesn't take the arrow you're using into account? As in, if you're using normal arrows, +1 attack or Red Arrows, +4 attack, it doesn't take them into account. Is this true? Also, it there anyway the ciders in showa could stack? https://bbb.hidden-street.net/items/food/cider Currently they only allow 1 per inventory slot Kinda makes them useless as they only last for 5 mins. Still, I stack up my inventory with them instead of the NLC pots for when I'm just doing a normal grind.
Yes it is true, it won't give you the bonus attack from the Arrow when you're using Soul Arrow. As for the second question, there is no way to stack them unfortunately
Is there anyway the attack could be increased on arrows then? Otherwise there's not really any point in using them over soul arrow. No point in filling up your USE inventory with stacks of arrows for 3 more attack. Also, this could be a way to fix the damage problem with Marksmen. Have their arrows do more damage than BM.
Free attack and takes like 2 mins to get enough arrows for HT (the longest boss) , so I'd say it's worth
meh, first time playing a bowman class in any version of maple. So I'm comparing it to NL which I normally play alongside shadower. NL get the skill so they don't use stars similar to Soul arrow. Except their skill takes 200 stars and then gives them unlimited stars for a certain period of time. Sure, it's comparing 2nd job skill to 4th job. Meh, just seems underpowered considering stars can get attack on them up to 30 and simply be recharged at any npc. Also, the stars you buy from any equipment npc have 15 attack. You have to go all the way to showa to get arrows for BM/MM with only 4 attack. Unless there's a better place to get them... Still, might be a way to fix the damage problem between BM and MM.
Do the questline for the dude in DMG, and he will sell you 2000 diamond arrows (+4 att) for 40k meso. This is half the cost of arrows at Showa
You saw it for yourself. I was 'rearrowing' in the fm yesterday haha. I have a mule parked in showa just to buy arrows is it worth? Yeah It's 4wa for about 5mins of your time, just do it during down times (aka not training or bossing) should be fine.
Soul Arrow does not use red arrows. If you're not using red arrows then the range increase from having them in your inventory means nothing. I buy red arrows before every boss on my BM
There are 1000 red arrows in a stack,and consume 500 every minute,every stack will be consumed in 2mins if soul arrow isn't used.Image how many spaces in "USE" inventory will be occupied,I rather to just use soul arrow,sacrifice the 4 att range increasement.
I've never carried arrows with me on my bm .. As you don't need arrows in your inventory to be able to cast Soul Arrow, I'm always arrow-less and when it comes to killing something, I just cast Soul Arrow and attack that way ..
That's why I said a slight damage increase on them would make it worth it, at least for me. I just tested damage last night, with soul arrow my top hit in hurricane was 17k and I could hit 18k with out soul arrow... It's not a big enough difference to make me carry 24 stacks of them to do 2 zak runs. Also, I know people were looking for a way to balance the MM in regard to the BM. Hurricane vastly out-damages snipe. Could increasing the damage on the MM arrows not be a way to bring them a bit closer to BM? That way you wouldn't have to worry about snipe which doesn't scale. You would make up the damage in strafes in-between snipes.
It depends on how tryhard one is, really. If a player is willing to spend 100+ hours/10b+ meso for a 1 attack upgrade to their gear set, there’s no logical reason they wouldn’t spend 5 minutes buying arrows for +4 attack.
Still, let’s say I wanna ht run on my Bm and need that damage increased, my arrows will ran out when the body starts most likely, and rip space for pots cause Bm doesn’t have Nl avoid.
I’m a relatively new MM. My personal experience is that I can store 20k Diamond arrows in my Use, and still have 30 slots left. This is including me stacking 2000 honsters and 1000 sorc. elixirs. I only need about 13-14k arrows for two Krex runs, and a comparable number for my Zak runs. I have no experience with HT at this point, but I can’t imagine the Use inv burden will be much worse.
If your arrows are running out when the body starts and you don't have enough pots left for like 10+ HTs on a BM then you're doing something wrong with your inventory space xd
Well, arrows were increased to 2000 per slot now. So that should help a bit. I'm happy with that fix. Can easily carry enough arrows to do krex and Zak now with one repot.
