Hello, I have a dilemma in which I need help ... A few weeks ago I am using an old pc of the model hp 0a64h(motherboard) I want to upgrade it; I found a zotac 210 video card at a good price and I want to know if it is perfectly suited to my pc, since this is ddr3 and pci 2.0, please help
The best upgrade you can get is building a new system lol. In any case, GPUs that pcie 3 are backwards compatible so maybe you should get a gt710 or a gt1030 which are insanely faster when compared to a 210 (and probably around the same price?). If you have 500bucks to dole out, you can get a decent build but that's up to your budget :/
< thank you very much for your answer, well I explain something, this pc is old and I'm using it because my laptop does not work (core i3), and I am currently very short of money to buy or make a new one, that's why I'm using this pc that was powdered, by the way that video card is selling it for $ 10 (second hand) and that's why I wanted to know if it would work. note: I do not need a PC for design or something like that, just browsing, watching videos without the current lag that I have and of course playing maplestory
I mean it's compatible....as long as the PCIex16 slot is open, you have the space inside the case, and you have the spare 29 W load available on your PSU. I wouldn't expect a huge difference in performance though, maple can literally run on a potato, and if you're seeing this "lag" throughout the entirety of your day-to-day use, it's probably more than just the dated GPU. Today's software isn't aimed to run well on that generation of hardware anymore, unfortunately. It might help though.. you may have hit the nail on the head and your integrated graphics chip might be going bad. Who knows. Is it worth $10 for the time to install it? Maybe, but it couldn't hurt! Good luck!
Yes, I understand what you want to say, but look I leave you the links of my current internal graphics chipset and the graphics card I wanted to buy, would there really be a big difference between the two? actual ati radeon xpress 1150 ( my one now ) : https://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Radeon-Xpress-1150.2173.0.html zotac 210 (geforce 210 series): https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-G-210M.17638.0.html Can you compare them and know if there is a big difference? (note:btw both are of 1gb)
I'm assuming you are adding in the non- mobile chip version of the NVIDIA card. Regardless, you are swapping a 2006 series integrated chip for a 2009 series physical card, the specifications of the Nvidia card certainly outperform the ATI chip . You will notice a difference in GPU intensive tasks. I'm not so sure if you will notice a difference outside of that, unless your current chip is struggling to run the OS itself from a graphics standpoint.
thank you very much again for the help, I think you do not lose anything trying it, apart from everything is $ 10, I hope to have at least a little decency in this PC hahaha , thanks for the help
