I don't know if it's just me or if it's intentional, but riding a hog cancels only Power Guard for me.
Why does it cancel only 1 skill? I can understand if it doesn't work when I ride it, but I have to keep recasting it repeatedly.
I don't know much about this skill, but doesn't Power Guard deal damage? Like... return some damage taken from a monster? That'd mean you could do damage from a mount? Well then of course it would be canceled. Should we be able to use all the other attack skills from a mount too?
Powerguard lessens damage to the user and returns some back to the monster. Why is the entire buff removed when I mount though? I have to recast it everytime I get off my mount to attack and at that point why even activate it at all? I also don't see how returning damage from a mount is any different than me just returning damage without a mount.
Well in my opinion, the damage dealing feature should be disabled when on the mount. I guess it might be more complicated to disable just a part of a skill, compared to canceling the whole skill. I understand it's complicated to re-cast it everytime when you're running around grinding though. As I said I know almost nothing about this skill, do you know in what way it worked back in original Maple?
I don't remember how it worked in the original Maple, but in the old Royal's all skills seemed to work while mounted.
I was actually about to report this as well, and then I saw this thread. Will a change be considered? PG actually helps a lot when hunting BFs and doing ToT training, and I honestly can't see any reason why it shouldn't remain while mounted.
Haven't test it myself because none of my mage has a mount...does mount cancels the mage's or arrow class' summon or does it just diable the summon from attacking other monster while the caster is on the mount? If it cancels, then it's fair to keep it the same as it also cancels power guard. If the summon is still there but doesn't attack, then statement/opinion below make sense, but that also means it's possible to code in disable the damage feature of the powerguard while still keeping the buff on mount. But if the summon attacks while on the mount, that's gonna take some tricky word smith to justify it lol.
Hmmm. Then maybe something should be looked into. Granted, mages and Bishops don't use mounts often, but they shouldn't be allowed to keep their damage reduction skill in place if Power Guard gets tossed out.
