So I havn't played a private server in 8 years, they used to have you install the version of maple, then install the client, drag drop and click the private server client.. is that how its ran now? somebody explain so i can play! Kind regards.
All you have to do is download the Royals client from the download page. Then, run the installer and you're good to go, the program should be on your computer. Very easy to install and start up, much easier than it used to be.

I have my virus and windows defender shut off, and now it says "operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software" How do i fix this?
If you restarted your pc, disabled your AV and Defender, downloaded the latest client; it should install without problems. Do you have anything else running that's checking realtime (in the background)? If you're missing the MapleRoyals.exe file, your AV might have placed in quarantine.You can recover it from there, and then add it to the exclusion list.
