I believe that this style can grow to be acceptable. My main problems are the division between posts which I can barely notice. The brightness of the white background makes that everything else that is rather important (like those horizontal lines) unable to be seen.
I voted I liked it. Looks more stylish. Makes the awkward banner a bit more subtle. Then I started going through the thread. I felt like I didn't even want to read the posts. I think this has to do with it being so generic, and makes me feel like everything after the first couple posts is pointless to read. Could just be me. I do like the look, though I still prefer the old one. It's much classier now. ;-)
They're still improving a lot on it like adding a bar to separate stickys, adding a 'Go to First Unread' button, showing pictures when editing rather than the 'img' code and link, etc.
The 'Rich Text Editor' is bugged beyond belief. Spoiler and font tags multiple for no reason. Do yourself a favor and use 'BB Code Editor'.
I really cannot tolerate this colour scheme. Please bring the old forums back, it was way more organic and gave a casual feel that made it very user-friendly and easy on the eyes. Even if you say you are bringing about pertinent changes and updates within the next couple of days, most of them are functional features which is not what I'm (or some of the others) actually concerned with. I'm referring more to the form (which includes colours, structure, layout) rather than the content (features and functions).
Leave the adding of functionality to the game server, and the simple find and leave to the forum. The only thing that I had issues with in the old forum was the search function.
I've been trying to help Matt come up with a dark theme version, we've tried a couple pre-made themes but they haven't worked out too well. In the meantime, he made a quick style with darker content areas- it can still be improved on but it's not a main focus right now. It's functional though. Go to the bottom of the left side and click "Mapleroyals Style" and change it to "Mapleroyals Night style" It's easier on the eyes for now.
I understand that it's not a priority and was only made in response to some people's vampiric eyesight but as a quick note: the color scheme does not work. At all. No. I really really do appreciate the thought, however. (Maybe you want to look at the PokeCommunity forums for some inspiration. They've got a whole bunch of themes you can draw from.) But I really like the new theme and functionalities. Multiquote is so good oh my god.
Updated the 'checklist'. The biggest complaint people seem to have at this point is mostly cosmetic stuff.
Added animated avatars, you might need to reupload your avatar if it was previously animated though unfortunately.
