Info Progress Update 11th April

Would be nice to get Monster Book (Hotkey B) update since at that moment it's not working at all. Those MB Cards can give new players and the whole player base the needed information regarding monsters and their location and
drops, very useful and needed feature if u ask me.

 

I dont think massive update would excuse. Could have launch small update and make sure its smooth than a big one like new source and then everything goes another way round and then people start going to another server. Just my point of view. Even after playing since 2015, i am so sick of Staff saying 'Its a big update. Please be patience. Karven is doing all it takes to code it'

 

"You dont think", but it is. Or else you can meet them GM in real life and see whit your eyes things are heavy. We have to wait. Move on another server? realy? LoL plz, there are no other servers like this one, I cannot absolutly pay my energy playing on another server, they dont deserve.

 

I personally believe he has a point. I mean, we all play and enjoy ourselves but take a step back and acknowledge the fact that:

1. Many people are now burning out from this server because more and more people are reaching the ceiling with no new content (which I'm sure is being addressed now)

And,

2. We are on update 53, which is far from the last one, and this is about a year and a half after the New Source was implemented, which was supposed to be a finished product compared to what we've had to play with. The rippling effects of that bad decision were always going to be felt no matter what, you can't deny that.

Many people, including myself, have spent some years here, so I don't want to leave. But I can't lie, all these other servers with their PQs and more varied content and their this and that, is annoying to bear witness to, because it makes me wonder just what type of task this server set out for itself where it is lagging behind in content to others when, well... I guess they didn't explicitly sell us a dream of having the most content, but, New Source was the equivalent of Krabby Land from Spongebob when it landed, and only up til now it feels like we are going beyond the features and content of old source, meaning that for the past year and a bit it *feels* like we've been playing catch-up. Only the admin team know better.

Let's hope this update pulls us all back together again.

 

At the end of the day, complaints for lack of features (due to Royals not being able to keep up with demands on new features etc.) as well as length of time for patches comes down to the number of people being able to work on this.

If it's possible for Royals to get more coders to help out (considering they're #1 on the GTop...I think it means they're likely to be able to than other servers as they're more popular, thus more donations coming in) then that's the only way to help "speed up" these processes. There's just a lack of resources able to do all of the work.

 

The anticipation is killing me! (and i'm not even likely to start playing again after the update)

 

Other server don't need new source and able to be stable, why you buttock itchy implement new source to fuck yourself

 

That's why other servers are lower ranked than us. Btw new source was at the beginning of 2017, so think of this as an update to improve server.

 

Are you comparing with the server you are playing? You mean, MapleL******s, right? That's why other servers overtake its rank.

Stability? That's the whole purpose of new source anyway - to get full control of everything.

Anyway, since I'm making this post, might as well give some updates:

- Kevin has finished work with Cash Shop, it has been tested and he's currently fixing up the loose ends.
- While Kevin is doing that, we have decided to host Anniversary concurrently with Easter.
- Shanghai has been added.
- We are looking into buffing clock tower monsters. Infact, we are already testing the HP:EXP ratio.

Please add some event speacial missions please.
Some thing like collect 99 of each (mushroom cap, dragon scale, octopus leg,...) - I call it -Around the world-
This quest will change everyweek and will give random rewards.....
Imagine the prospect that noobs asking pro players for helping to get the max reward from the quest.....

 

GTOP rankings would be more fair if vote abusers were not taken into account and or GTOP officially permitted to use different vote methods, such as voting every 6 hours. Even though they block it, they officially allow users to use their mobile phone and anything to vote more times, as long its not a proxy.

With these things in mind I always saw GTOP as a joke of a ranking. Unfortunately, people in 2008 made this site very popular.

And @ quests: the 3 winners of the recent forum quests event will be added too.

 

I would say new source is currently far more stable than old source ever was. Granted, it took some time, but they've managed to fix everything pretty well.

 

Far more is a complete overstatement, the game still has gfx problems and crashes constantly. Also chn 1 is down every other day, this is not the definition of "Far more stable". I would say its a fraction better than previous source was.

 

Before 2017 Halloween Event, gfx-ing in boss runs was never a thing we had to do...
