Just here to share experience. So far I have succeeded only 3 times, our squads were : 1. 2 Bowmasters + 3 Night Lords + Bishop(s) 2. 1 Hero + 1 Bowmaster + 2 Night Lords + 1 Corsair + Bishop(s) 3. 1 Paladin + 2 Bowmasters + 2 Night Lords + Bishop(s) Your squad seemed decent, just lacked in an appropriate cooperation like most failed squads. After all, it's still an interesting riddle for me how to defeat Bodyguard A. Bodyguard B and The Boss are much easier to be defeated than Bodyguard A.
Kill the map mobs in a way where they don't interfere with your boss fight. Keep him pinned with NL's and Bowmaster's. Do not let any Mapler get between TT/Hurricane or BGA will start punching. Basically don't invite any close ranged if you want a higher chance. In this game there is no such thing as knocking back a boss so much that he cannot attack so anyone that gets near his attack range will make him start punching. Edit: DrK got you all killed.
I do suggest at least one warrior in party, Bodyguard A's stun range is longer than Hurricane and Triple Throw.
His punch range is longer than Hurricane and Triple Throw, but his wanting to punch range is shorter. If you stay max range from him with TT and Hurricane he won't be in range to start punching, but if someone comes within his activate range his punch will hit everyone. Warrior's are detrimental to the fight as these bosses were made for ranged.
I ll share some of my experiences when I killed Bodyguard A. The melee is supposed to rush to the right when it summons then when ready, tell the night lords (3NLs should do) to jump and triple throw to pin the boss (where you dropped the comb). Why have a melee? To pin it when the Night Lords fails to pin but most importantly the Night Lord has to JUMP AND TRIPLE THROW! The rest of the bodies is easier. The last form you just need classes (BM/MM/Corsair/NL) that have dex to hit it because it requies high accuracy. Also, I recommend bringing two bishops+TL to allow more mistakes to be made or simply make two parties to BG (to get an idea of how to do it first). Two videos that I killed BG with two parties (however it only shows the last form) hehe
I recalled how I succeeded my runs. Warrior is an important role when Bodyguard A is unpinned, rush ensures pinning it as long as the warrior isn't stunned, even though the warrior is stunned, all attackers are supposed to stop attacking all the time. Warrior will be made as Bodyguard A's target, and must be able to tank its attack. Yes, you may get stunned, but eventually you will have chance to rush it to corner (stun isn't permanent), until it is pinned, all attackers can restart attacking.
I much prefer letting him wander non-aggro into the sweet spot vs rushing him and making him pop shots off in every direction. As long as someone is in his wanting to strike distance, everyone will get hit, but there's always multiple ways to beat a boss so I can see how rushing may work for some.
When warriors (30k Hp or with Hb) are stunned, the NLs are supposed to jump and triple throw to keep it pin
from what I experienced, I think you just stop attacking and let the warriors to repin and night lords move forward (where you dropped the comb) to start jump+TT
I would like to thank you everyone for your advise! One day you guys can bring me to one of your runs >w< or i might try again with my own squad again next time! Appreciate it! Love the community so much!
After watching your video which interests me to run Bodyguard again, I want to give it a try once my final is finished. Additionally @Lexy is my friend and guild mate, we will probably organize a squad in future. Thanks to your video, brought up our good memory
