Is it possible to trade more than 71 1b coins in one trade ? (since 3% of 72b is over max mesos, meaning you can't have enough mesos in your inv to pay tax) P.S. - I wish this would actually be a problem for me but I'm just curious lol
This is an idea that isn't feasible. If bcoins have taxes prepaid, it means there is no longer any flexibility to convert them back to mesos or else if they get converted back to bcoin again there is another 30m tax. With this idea, all bcoins remain bcoins permanently which I think is not feasible.
No, you can't trade more than 71 coins which will incur more than 2,147,483,647 in tax. And it's not possible to increase meso cap (or not afaik. Not sure if it's just as easy as changing the type).
It's the largest number the server is able to calculate I believe. Because the age of the game, I think it's an artifact of the coding used to run the game, and that's why it wasn't increased till a much later version in GMS/etc. I believe the 2.1b number is also the same for the max amount you can hold in a stack of items in runescape as well (for the same reason above), and I believe it was the max for gold on WoW for a while too. I'm no expert but increasing the limit would require switching from a 32 bit system to a 64 bit system, which I assume is a massive undertaking, hense the introduction of coins. Trading is limited to 71b for the reasons Kai said, but in terms of raw storage, I think the coins stack up to 200, and with 96 slots, you're looking at 19,200,000,000,000 mesos being able to be held on a single character, which prior to the coin, would have required 9.1k meso mules, or ~1,500 unique accounts with logins and passwords. To give you a point of comparison, in the last 6 months, the server has a whole has *generated* 25 trillion mesos from NPC'ing equips and raw meso-picking-up. Edit: Fun fact, the max meso number is also a prime number.
