Hi Tim, I was unaware of the vote abuse until I just read about the rules for voting.
May I know for first time offender how long the ban will be?

Hi Kai,
I was really unaware of the rules until today when I read about them.
I am apologetic for what I’ve done before this and will ensure that I will only vote on one account every 24 hours.
I really spent a lot of effort in training my characters, it’s really a huge lost to me considering the amount of hours I spent playing maple royals since dec 2017.
I hope that you could give me a chance and I promise this will not happen again.

 

Hi Kai, is there a way we can work out this and not make it a permanent ban for the mistake I’ve made?
I am now aware that I can only vote once every 24 hours. I will assure that such incident will not occur again and I am sincerely apologetic to this.
I hope that we can find a way to mitigate the sentence/punishment given.

 

Unfortunately, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. The Terms & Conditions are agreed to upon account creation.

 

Hi Muff, I do see that royals have implied very strict rules and regulations towards players and expect everyone to follow them.
However, I do have some queries.
1. There is a post saying that first time offender for vote abuse will receive a temporary ban of 14 days.
2. I glanced through many previous players ban appeals that they had similarly committed vote abuse and found that they received a temporary ban of 7 days.
3. How is this case being deemed to receive a sentence of being permanently ban? How is it being judged that some received a temp ban, and I received a perm ban?

Vote Abuse - The act of attempting to, or successfully, bypassing the restrictions of voting no more than once per 24 hours. Punishment: First offense - 14 day ban, Second offense - Permanent ban. Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per discretion of staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of if it is your first offense.

It is up to the administrators to determine what constitutes severe abuse, and that is what your infraction was deemed to be. And there have not been any vote abuse bans for 7 days. They are either 14 days or permanent, depending on what the administrators see it as.

 

Which means, you are trying to say, there is no standardization of the punishment to be given.
In circumstances that all are under ignorance towards the T&Cs
If the player is lucky enough for the Admin/GM to detect that he is vote abusing early. He will have a lighter sentence with 14 days temp ban only.
If the player is unlucky enough like me when the Admin/GM to pick this up late, hence leading to severe vote abuse. He will receive a perm ban.
Then in my opinion, you guys should review it as equal sentence. Whether it is temp/perm, it must be standardize.

 

So you are blaming the administrators for not detecting your vote abuse cheating earlier?
It's not up to anyone but yourself to follow the rules.

That sounded exactly like what you were doing. You are blaming us for not catching you earlier where if we had, you would have had a 14 days ban instead. But since we caught you later, you fell into a permanent ban. So..

1) is it our fault we took a little long to catch you or...
2) your fault for vote abusing in the first place?

Dare to break the rules, then be prepared for consequences to catch up with you. Don't play the victim card here, because we aren't interested in that.
