For the latest update, I believe that this client needs an update as well. Please let me know if this client also needs an update because it wont let me pass the server check error box.
Facing the same issues here.. The Full screen mode client has always been working fine for me until the current update, Hope the staffs can look into it. Maybe it needs an update? Haha
This client definitely needs an update, it was the only way I could get around the "unspecified error" issue. It was working fine until recent server check. Now I am unable to play and keep getting a message that states: "We are unable to connect to the login server due to a server check, a firewall block or other network issues. Please check the MapleRoyals homepage for ongoing server checks as well as your firewall settings." I tried turning my firewall off and still received this message.

Hi, I tried to all as explained, install the game again, install a new client but nothing helps, I still get an unexpected error. This hasn't happen to me before the update today (26.2) If someone can assist I will really appreciate it. Thanks
Iam also using this client to run the game properly. It is the only fix for my unspecified error. Can admins please check to update this client so it fits the current version of the game? Thank you very much in advance.
Hi @Karven Still not able to start up the client with MapleRoyalsNoWindowsMode.exe even after downloading the latest patch (26 feb). It used to work fine for all the updates before New Source Update 50. Perhaps it's no longer compatible with the updated clients?

It seems after a updating my windows I constantly get "-2147467259 (unspecified error)". This is including the use of the fullscreen.exe file. Edit: There was an error from one of my graphics card driver after windows update. Updating that driver resolved the issue.
Client works great ! But is there no option of turning it into Windowed after starting in Fullscreen? Is painful having to play on that resolution on fullscreen mode
It doesn't work for me tho, alt+enter and from the menu just gives a system noise but doesn't change to windowed
I tried updating all my drivers i installed the latest DirectX and installed C++ 2005, i also tried making a custom 800 x 600 resolution and nothing worked. HOWEVER! i stumbled upon a solution online while googling an error message that appeared if you have tried everything to no avail then please try one last solution that helped myself!. In Compatability settings for MapleRoyals Full screen put Windows 98 / Me and also run as an administrator checked click apply and it should be working now! it took 3 minutes for the game to load but i finally managed to play after trying for 1 year Edit: Alt + Enter also works flawlessly in making it windowed mode
That compatibility mode will cause problems when entering portals and therefore its not suggested to use it. Try setting resolution lower than 800x600 and launch the game.
May for some luckily iv been playing for several hours and gone through portals used teleport scrolls no bugs or crashes as of yet could be a possible solution for some Edit: if i dont use compatability mode on windows 98 / me with run as administrator even 800 x 600 resolution doesnt work i've just tested my laptop is really whack lol
Havent played in a while, I remember back in the day I would have to try launch it a few times before it worked but now it's not working at all. Windows 10 home edition 64bit GTX1060 Acer VN17 nitro Have tried: Windows Defender off + add files/folder and executable as exception Antivirus off + allowed as exception Installing it on my HDD (D) and SSD(C) drive Restarting CPU Reinstalling Changing desktop resolution to minimum (and other resos) 60HZ refresh confirmed Running as: admin, all previous windows compatibility Disabled high dpi scaling, full-screen optimization and 640x480 mode both on mapleroyals.exe and mapleroyalsfullscreen.exe windows updated, Nvidia driver updated, firmware/other drivers all up to date.. help..................
