Now I haven't browsed these forums enough to know what kind of drama goes on about this idea. However, I'd just like to say what I've come up with and see if anybody else agrees. Reasons for creation. -Let's face it, this server is old, needs something new and exciting! -There are many end game players with not much to do but to start over. -This server is as classic and nostalgic as you can get, but something different and new isn't always a bad thing. Ideas for creation. -I don't think people would like this as a training method, so I suggest little or no exp. -Instead of exp, or aside from exp, there needs to be a really cool form of a reward. -There shouldn't be a level requirement (up for debate) because it would also be fun for low levels to defeat Mano and stuff. Which is also kind of nostalgic for me at least. Reward ideas -I don't know what the server thinks about NX slimes, however, I think if a party were to defeat the final boss, a group of nx slimes should spawn, like a bonus round. -End game equips: Because this boss pq is mainly created for end game players. Some end game exclusive gear would be awesome! -I don't know how I feel about this one myself, however, it could be a good idea, based on responses, BPQ points being able to transfer over as RP (or similar to) would be pretty cool. Needless to say, I'm aware this may make people who've donated butthurt. Responses -I know my ideas aren't something everyone can agree with so please do not rage at me. What did it do so negatively to that server? I thought it was a good idea when that's what all the lv 200s did. (Don't hardly play the server anymore so I'm ignorant to the subject)
Endgame revolved around it. Most parties consisted off 5 NLs and 1 BM/MM so that they didn't have to lose any DPS by adding a DrK. All members were heavily HP washed (13k-16k HP iirc). It just made all other classes irrelevant at endgame and even moreso if you weren't HP washed to the max.
We'll, I agree with this and it had came up in my mind. It's possible to bring back use to other jobs. Also basically the only job left out is mages. -Fix:Mass spawn of weaker mobs with high damage? Only a suggestion. -Corsairs are better than NL, if you don't include cool down. -Not everyone can hp wash so DrK are not extinct here.
Belts aren't in v62. Leaderboards aren't until way later. My ideas were made up on the spot, in that section, I was mainly looking for suggestions.
We'll great, then now I think the BPQ should give rewards to the people that are the highest on the rankings. Just my theory.
Top 5 gets some sort of ring, Then completing the dojo by itself gets you another, but weaker ring. I think that would be good because I don't think there's any stat rings here. The problem would be when somebody gets taken off the rankings, them losing the ring or not. You could either put a 1 week timer on them (if possible) or could just use it as a reward for whoever has just gotten to be in the top 5. Rankings could also be reset every day, or week.
Dojo/BossPQ would be nice. There is always a flush of new players rolling in and old players quitting because there is really nothing to stay for. Another Ranking board on a Dojo/BossPQ will be really nice for competitive high lvlers. Along with maybe stat rings for rewards, scrolls etc.
BPQ was promised a year ago, it'd be nice to see it finally implemented. As for the point system, I'm assuming it'd work like dojo. You get x amount of points and receive a lower tiered belt. Since you pointed out rings, I'd suggest using the big bang evolving rings from an event in v93(GMS). There's a bunch of options there, not that it's crucial that we go all the way up to 17, but numbers can be skipped, not added in, etc.
A big f--- no to rewarding the top point-collectors with special items. Rewards should be available to everyone.
I love how people just disagree and don't necessarily explain why they do. Constructive critisism is more than welcome!! 1! 1! 1 It'd basically be just like dojo but without belts.
