is there a specific reason as to why vote timer has to be 24 hr cooldown, rather than once every 24 hour reset time? because it its impossible to be RIGHT on time everyday, leading to delay after delay, and eventually we miss a day's worth of nx say, over a month

I'd like that too but I think the issue is Gtop sided

Edit: post #4's got it. Let's get a new timer as well

It is in fact because of Gtop100. It's out of their control here. It would definitely be easier if it was like boss reset times (you vote once a day, but any time during the day rather than 24 hours apart) but Gtop refuses to.

Interesting, I've never seen anyone mention this before. It'd be nice to have voting once a day rather than once every 24 hours, I wonder how this would work with GTop's "reset" time likely being different from this server's "reset" time (i.e. 00:00 oclock).

Maybe it can be changed to a 22 hours timer so you can at least be 2 hours late with each vote and it still pretty much feels like 24 hours anyway.

Edit: wording mistakes and spelling mistakes

If reset-based voting were to be implemented, just stick to the same time gtop reset, for simplicity.

Gtop use reset-based system, their reset time is 12am EST (UTC-5)

+1 to this absolutely. My work hours are incredibly irregular, so trying to adhere to the 24 hour timer has made me miss more than one vote so far.
