You are claiming that the community here is made up of perverts and pedophiles and say that I am the one attacking? You show no context other than this one screenshot and go ranting about perversion and pedophilia being rampant in the community. I never once said this behavior shown is expressly permitted so please don't twist my words to fit your agenda. I stated that pedophilia would not be tolerated.

 

So what is the solution? I proposed one in my previous post. I can promise you I'm not the only one who finds this disturbing and inappropriate for this game. Do they all have to be reported and they will get dealt with? Why I ask is because one of the ign seems awfully familiar and has posted such smegas way back and they seem perfectly fine posting these.

If I were the owner or GM of this server, I would ban right away anyone who say "dick" "suck dick" ... in smega!
This is a game where people enjoy to play, not a bar where you can say dirty words and then back-up with "life is vulgar ..." or something like that!

Smega = public your words, I hope there would be a rule or a list banned smega words in T&C!

And, OP stated that, it is not only once but it happened several times so I think it's annoyed and need to be limited or even banned!

Someone said, "it's just there, nobody force you to read, if you don't like it, just turn off smega with code command ...", which I disagree, if i turn off smega, I could miss a smega recruit people to boss run I like, or recruit people to training party, ...

Not community in general, that is a lie. Believe me there are people who would not defend such behavior or brush it off, just like there are people who want to clean our environment from waste that is created by us. If nobody speaks up on these subjects, the things that are tolerated just keep getting more disturbing.

I don't have the evidence but I have seen it smegad at least twice that somebody likes loli which is straight up for pedophiles, twist it how you wish. Then someone who doesn't know what it is will go and look it up on the internet. Just like when someone has an ign called Futa and some kid asks what is that? What could that possibly lead to? If this is tolerated then it should be clearly visible before joining the server. Maplestory is a game for kids, everything about it shows it as a kids game. Can adults play it? Yes, but they should be considerate of a fact that kids will play it as well.

man in the offical maplestory they rare ban players even if they hacks beacuse nexon just worried about NX.
and even if they ban you could open new users. (i played just the NA)

and you didnt saw really Offensive smega's in the offical game..(and no one even bannable).

 

i wont get into depth of this pedo/loli discussion (since they should obviously get 30 days/permanent ban right away), BUT with the talk of smegas (public) you showed, you better off just make a report and they should be ban for at least 3 days. this sexual talk (vulgar) should not be on Smega that's for sure.
and if that's really happening so frequently, after few reports those people wont dare use vulgar language in public chat (or smegas) ever again, as the rule state "Third offense - Permanent ban."

IMO, sexual topics are a part of daily life for many. The fact that you might get offended does not mean that those people aren't allowed to conduct themselves in a, for them, normal manner, when their behaviour is on the whole considered normal.

official maplestory didn't get hard on those thing because they are bad, look at how it getting now?

I think that speech that is offensive on a certain level is fine, no matter if I personally consider it offensive.

But saying "dick" "suck dick", ... are in "alert" level, not just "a certain level is fine". It should not be written in something like smega!
If you want to say that, go whisper or party chat or somewhere private, nobody will judge you that!

Anyhoo, this reminds me of the time I was reported for smegaing that I fuck robots. (When fucking robots, be sure to choose appropriate lube.) That report was laughed off. If you're significantly bothered by vulgarity, you're in the wrong place.
