be Aware of this ign: Aubameyang lv16 mule and his another lv16 mule female acc (name starts with "Se" ) who awesomely scammed my 600m. SS of him below how he did it, - selling an item at an unbelievably low price. (fs for my example) - wont accept anything else EXCEPT mesos. - wont trade with you because "TAX is lower in shops" - ask you to cc to his selected cc and room. - while setting up his shop, his another char will appear as a distraction. - with impulsive act, (and distraction from his other "buyer") youll buy the wrong item without checking the it. to be honest, i was totally impressed by his/this technique as it had never happened to me before, experiencing this scam technique brought me excitement instead of disparity, even tho i lost 600m. oh well a fee for a life lesson eh? i created this thread not becos i feel salty and had to cry out, but to simply spread an awareness to every Royalers out there to be vigilant and not fall for such retarded trick again. like i did and im proud of it!! actually no and hopefully GMs will take action against these shameless people. cheers =D
Hello this is very interesting and I'm bumping to spread awareness. He tried to scam me using this exact method but since I read your post 3 hours prior to the scam so I figured, thank you for that. This is indeed a very smart scam, but too bad talent can't be used on something good but only selfish purposes.
@NoTpRo Is this what Aubameyang did to you? I noticed his alt is Seydo which is also linked to Limlim who is a prominent scammer.
call for ban!! scams are absolutely unacceptable in a server that has rules for even minor offenses like inappropriate speeches
I have thankfully been able to avoid getting scammed personally, but that is probably because I have experience with trading and selling/buying stuff irl, such as cars, car items, the apartment I currently live in, etc. Trust me, people irl do anything to make you lower your price/spend more than things are actually worth, or try hard to not have to sign contracts etc. You can not get away from scammers, unfortunately. However, I have certain rules I think everyone should follow. This applies to real life, and maple alike. 1: If you can't take a look at what you're buying, or you can only look at it for a short second (classic "Oh no im lagging I can't keep trading window open more than second scam), chances are it's a scam. Would you for example buy a new apartment without even looking at it first? I bet not. 2: Always price check and make sure you're buying the right item. This kinda goes into number 1, you should be allowed to take a proper look at the item you want to buy. This goes for stores to though, as people like to bundle scam. 3: Unless it's leech you're buying, never give someone huge amount of cash without making sure you're actually getting what you're buying. Just like you wouldn't just give someone money in real life without being sure you will recieve the items you bought, same should apply here. I saw someone that gave a person money and the seller promised to drop NX items for him. He didn't. You can trade NX items to, remember that. 4: If the seller/buyer is being weird and you are suspicious of that person, chances are you have good reasons to be just that and should trade with someone else more trustworthy, or alternatively search that persons username on the forum to see if other people have called him/her out for scamming.
While I agree, unfortunatly most of us are naive and sometimes lax during the trades. Honestly I've fell for the fast trade scam once even though I noticed it was a scam. Like, I told the dude he would not fool me, then i accepted the trade because I was trigger happy. I was watching a youtube video while all that was happening. I was distracted, then fooled. Those people (just like irl scammers) uses unfair and malicious ways to take advantage of people. We can't expect people to be aware of all the scams and to always be skeptical because most people are not most of the time. Of course we can go with "don't be stupid, stupid" but honestly making it not a ban-worthy(Not just the obvious mule, but the main of the fucker) thing just makes more people want to try this fuckery. I really want to see if I can do that fast trade thing, it takes some skill and people can surely fuck you up, and since its not bannable there is nothing stopping me except my morals. Hell, shadowers can't use the mouse wheel to protect their finger health but this guy can steal from clueless retarded people like me and OP I was thinking about making an "Anti-Scam Guide" to spread awereness but I really lack knowledge about the different type of scams. Honestly, that one is quite creative. If someone knows more about scams a guide about it would be a good way to prevent it.
Be careful of what you're buying; he initially wanted money only for his FS, but traded me back again and tried to get me to buy this. LOL Not included in the screenshot, but his reply was "thanks, share me in forum"
You'd think that with all of this evidence against him, people would report him instead of just posting it here.
It is unfortunately not against any rules to scam people, although it's debatable if it should be. Hi btw Jared
Objectionable Behavior (Disruption) - The act of engaging in any sort of action that is deemed to be excessively disruptive to the individuals around you, including spamming or flooding chat or skills. Punishment: First offense - 3 day ban, Second offense, 7 day ban, Third offense - Permanent ban. I would consider scamming to fall under this clause, but as of right now, you are right that it doesn't fall under the TnC. The sheer numbers of people this individual has scammed, I see it comparable to excessively disruptive behavior. Also hi Shira!
If people can prove someone is purposefully trying to scam people, sure I wouldn't mind if they got banned. They are assholes, at the very least, even if they don't technically break any rules.
It's not a rule, although there is a major (albeit, dead seeming) thread for it. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/potential-t-c-scamming-drafts-and-ideas.122028/#post-721742 Either way, this is not considered a "bannable" scam since it's in your power to make sure you are trading for the thing you want to buy. If he somehow got you to pay first and didn't uphold his side (i.e. something like getting paid for leeching and then leaving without giving you leech), then it'd be bannable under the pretense in the thread above, but this is considered the buyers fault (still shitty of the seller and definitely blacklist worthy)
Currently talking to Seydo, wants to buy my raccoon mask for 30m, when people proved & and owl proved that it's 350m+ filthy scammers :<
Well, I don't consider that a scam. You have the option not to sell it to him then. I'm not a scammer, but if I could buy something that's way below average price, I would love to do so to make a profit.
its important that you Notice Aubamayang is faking Abumayaeng aka AbuMovic, his real identity is LimLim / Seydo he had scammed atleast 50% of my BL and everytime i smega'd his ass for scamming he would whisper me back : ty i love the attention <3, obv his name got so burned out as LimLim he had to fake someone is this legal shaming the other dude like that? leave aside the scams which is horrible
