How to Horntail without graphical glitches closing your client

ok so I can zak without gfx thanks to vm, but vm is a bit laggy and it d/c when I tried to gfx during zak. Does the software require update or what? it seems to be a bit laggy if I place it in highest graphic as well.

What are your settings and did u ever update your vmware? because some people will experience really bad lag when they update vmware. (it is supposed to be v6 vmware player so the one that you can download from op is not supposed to be updated.)

What settings is your vmware set to. Also did you try installing directx? have you installed vmware tools? are you using multiple monitors?

 

Set the settings exactly like Tim did on the first post; yes I've installed directx and vmware tools; I'm using one monitor. Computer is pretty high end as well, so I don't think it's a lack of resources.

 

did u tick the "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" option under cpu? also is the version you're using v6?

edit:this should probably not matter to you i mixed your problem up with the other guy who had lag.

 

Its happened to me before and after redownloading and reinstalling its just did the magic, tell us if worked.

So I decided to give VMWare a chance since I have been d/cing in Horntail recently along with Zak every now and then.
Issue: I am having a problem with going into portals with a lot of party buffs on me. I get a black screen and the music goes into a horrid loop.
Specs:
CPU: i5-5200U @2.20 GHz (4)
GPU: Intel integrated (Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
VMWare Version: 6.0.7 w/ Windows XP SP3
Game Resolution: 800 x 600 in windowed mode
Compatibility: Windows 98 / Window Me




Any help would be appreciated

I downloaded VMWare and I'm trying to download MapleRoyals client on the website however when I click whichever link (GoogleDrive/Mega), it will refresh to another page then it says done with error on the bottom left of the page. And the page is completely white and empty.

Any idea? I tried to double check the internet settings (Ticked the SSL TSL thing, reset to default, etc) however nothing helps.

 

Try drag and drop the launcher from your desktop onto VMware. I heard you can share the folder too but I am not sure how but I know the first method I mentioned works 100%!

Where are you dropping it? For me I drop onto desktop after dropping it will say copy file in a blackscreen with words blablabla

Oh and try tweaking the shared folder option (just found out hehe). VMware>edit VM settings>Options>Shared Folders>tick Always Enabled>click Add to host path(where your installer is on PC). That should share the installer in your VMware. Good luck!

I will also need to change my FJ from ctrl because Unity doesn't work for me

 

Hey @Tim I followed the guide completely. I have the client running on Windows 98 / Windows Me, I have the screen resolution at 800 x 600. I am able to sign in game, but randomly when I go through a portal I get a black screen and the client crashes. I am running at 2 gigs ram, 2 cores and the same configurations you have.

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, do you have any suggestions?

Edit: I switched the compatibility mode and it seems to be working fine now... For anyone that might have the same issue I did, its now Windows NT 4.0 (Service pack 5).
