According to the HT bossing guide posted by Matt, the requirement for mages (bishops) are to have minimum 2k hp and 8k mp with maxed mg on (not including sed bs), maxed rez, max holy shield and be able to 1hko mobs. I’m taking that to be a minimum requirement to be viable, so my question is are there other things that parties tend to take into consideration when deciding which bs to take along? For example, if I were to fulfill all the requirements Matt listed, even when I’m not lv155, would people take me in? If no, why not?
Hello @CerealnOats ! Having 2K HP and A good pool of mana will allow u to survive HT which does ~9800 damage no counting touch damage. Basically in our current source of horntail, A job of an bishop is to make sure seduce survives, revive the dead when required, and dispel efficiently when your dps are magic sealed/darkness or even other negative effects. Which will boost their efficiency of playing efficiently! But theres a major difficulty curve in Horntail is they actually dispels when Head B is 50% And once dispel and the horntail does damage to you, u will die if u dont MG Immediately. Gear wise u will not be an issue, i have many friends that horntail with their sub account (bishop) with very basic gears. And they fulfill the job well. I know some bishops that wear HP gears to survive more easier as well. U will require lvl155 to actually leech exp, meanwhile example lvl145, u will still be able to do it Basically to sum it up. There is not minimum bar for requirement for entry as an bishop. Personally i would suggest washing to 5.3k hp to survive most of the content easily ! But of course with a week or two of training, horntail without washing.
You need 1600 magic to 1shot dark wyvrens... If you plan to join ht then you should befriend people that are running ht on a regular basis, the requirements are not many you can make yourself more attractive by taking less splits or not staying in party for exp (only hs). The more the better obviously people would love to always have a bishop with 30khp/mp, that never dies or dced, always hs in time, 1shot all mobs and so on but generally you don't need much to do the job.
Do bishops with 30k hp and mp exist?.. I just have no clue how thats possible. My bishops lvl 153 and only 2k hp... of course not washed at all. Someone suggested 6.7k- 7k hp to survive being one shotted when magic guard disappears from dispel.. Do you really have to wash to 6.7k - 7k hp? And btw what do you guys mean by seduce? lol. Thanks.
I once brought my Lv.120 BS with 2.2k HP to HT, cannot 3 hit wyverns sometimes, duo client playing a seducer at mean time, All cool as long as you have experience, and someone not that noob to ignore all Dark Wyverns like he doesn't want HS. When Head B and Left Hand is about to dispel, stay at the bottom corner letting doping rocks hit you, once dispelled , start your stopwatch and keep an eye on it for the next 5 or 3min; For mass seduce part, hang on the rope when only hands left, start your stopwatch once mass seduced, and you know cd is 1min so what to be nervous about
Hello CalRoyal123, Currently No, theres only 2 bishops i know of that has 30kHP and 30K Mana WHEN HB-ED them being “cslsp” and “senkichi”,which invested alot mesos into washing one. I’m a bishop main as well, and i invested quite an amount into washing, and boy i regretted spending that much extra fundings into one. Having 5.3kHP Is enough for u to have an easy on Horntail, not being afraid of getting dispelled and damaged into your death. Do you need to wash to 6~7k? NO! You do not need that much. Unless you’re really really funded and playing for an high HP achievement. Imo Bishop’s most important part of their gameplay is managing the incoming and outgoing funds that they earn. Where goals to build either an full fledge attacker or even a god tier bishop. I have helped buddies that are new to bishops in horntail, and i suggested them keep their HP @3.5k and wear HP gears. All of them are very successful and is able to tackle Horntail content with little skill and attention. And including that u can use the spare funding of your bishop to 1320 magic, by adding an echo + sswiss cheese, you can 1Hit darks easily. Making you an insane bossing character. Other suggests make use of character to farm HT and sell leech, and get fundings for your attacker class. I have an bishop guide to help out as well. Part 1 (basic understanding of seduce) Seduce is a debuffing skill use by horntail’s left and right arm. making an player unable to control their characters, and moving them left and right, or jumping. Meaning to say, they are unable to use potions as well. Without a bishop, most players who receives the “seduced” debuff will die. it will debuff the player who enter first the map of Horntail, starting at 2min of spawning the boss and 3min thereafter for normal cases. Part 2(additonal mechanics bishop should know) It starts to get complicated as there are 2 arms in main body. The 2 arms sed has different timers, but when all players are at example left side, the right arm will not trigger seduce. Until the any player in the map that crosses the middle of horntail, which will cause an immediate seduce.
