I was on a Zakum run yesterday, and was buying a zakum helm from them. I got DC at the third body and didn't get a helm. Do I still need to pay the party that took me to this run?

From personal experience, I would definitely say: no!
Even if you paid for one helm or a VIP service, you never finished the run.
It's not enjoyable to pay for an empty space you know.. unless it's to get away from this planet.

It's traditional to only pay for a Zakum helm after you have been able to loot one. Usually you divide the 50 or 100 mil depending if you were buying Regular or VIP and give it to each party member, or pay one member and they split it.

The posts above are indeed correct. With this said, I would consider it very discourteous to go on runs as a buyer when you know that you have a high likelihood of disconnecting on third body. I would suggest waiting until you find a solution/fix before going on runs as a buyer again, or at the very least, giving the party a heads up that the risk of disconnecting is high for you so they can determine if they want to go through with selling you a helm or not.
