Anyone know why I D/C right at 3rd Zakum Body? Just when I was buying a Zak helm and all that. Fuck. I was doing fine till then.
You have to change your graphics settings every time a new body spawns -- so when the 8th arm dies, when the 1st body dies, and when the 2nd body dies. If you don't there's a good chance your client will crash.
Could you see Zakum disappearing before you fucking DC'd? What I do is I gfx after everybody dies ( when the hp bar pops up on the top)
Yes, he disappeared and re-appeared, I think, before I got the DC. Sorry for the bad language, I was angry at that point, lol. I was buying a Zakum helm and didn't want this to happen. I dont understand, can you explain better? Like, what setting exactly do I need to change to, and from what setting to what setting? Or Do I just keep one specific setting, all the time? I had Highest quality graphics. It was set to that all the time. Before the DC, Zakum disappeared for a moment, and when I open iventory / equipment windows, they disappeared too. So, if you can explain better, I'll be more prepared next time. Tell me, exactly what setting to change to every time. I'll write it down and keep it in mind for the next run.
I disable my graphics card when I boss and it fixes everything related to graphic related disconnections or crashing. It is very simple to do as well. The GFX “solution” of raising/lowering your quality never worked for me personally.
I dunno how to disable a graphics card. Maybe teach me how to do that? I have built-in one, though. I want to try one thing first, then if it doesnt work, try a different thing, etc. One by one. But, damn, this was actually the only time I ever DC'd since I joined the server ,I think. It must be a graphics related issue.
In Windows 10, search "Device Manager". You'll get this window (but hopefully in your own language) If you have a computer with separate graphics drivers, you can disable one of them like this. As you can see, in my case the NVIDIA is disabled. If you don't have anything called NVIDIA here, this shouldn't be your problem - something else is probably DCing you.
To change your graphics settings you will open the in game menu and either raise or lower the quality bar. It doesn't matter how you move it as long as it moves... what matters is forcing the game to 'refresh' the screen and redraw everything to get rid of the errors. The quick way most people do this is: Escape down down enter (left or right) enter The bug is said to come from nvidia drivers, so using an intel integrated gfx card or an amd card supposedly makes you immune to "gfx dcs". Alternatively, you can also use a virtual machine to avoid having to gfx. As long as you GFX right on time as the new body spawns, you won't have any DC problems (in my experience).
Hmm...well, the problem is this. My graphics card is a built in Intel one, attached to the motherboard. I dont use Nvidia, so the Device Manager option, is apparently useless? Same goes for the Graphics settings changing - I dont use Nvidia, so this is also useless for me, as well? I'm confused by now and still don't know what to do...
Trying doesn't hurt. You can also make sure you're running a "fresh client" each time you go to some boss. What I mean by this is, close your game (Alt+F4 or Quit → Quit) and then restart it. It clearly solves graphics-related issues like partial black screen etc. However, I'm not sure if it helps prevent them, but I believe so.
If you can open a run dialogue box and type 'dxdiag' and hit enter, what does it show under the Display tab?
hold windows button and press r to get this window: Type in dxdiag and hit enter/ok. Go to display tab and it will show you what graphics card you're using.
Awesome, thanks Hampa! Well, it shows this: Intel HD Graphics 520 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip Type: Intel HD Graphics Family I've no idea what I need to do when I have this graphics card. As far as I am aware, that is a built-in card, but I'm no expert on this. Do you have a solution to the DC problem, that is specifically useful for my graphics card? If yes, please tell me, thanks.
Try scrolling down to see if there is another display adapter. Or is there another tab that shows an Nvidia or AMD chip?
Because the game runs on an older version of Direct X that isn't as compatible with newer drivers for Nvidia graphics chips. However since all you see is an Intel display adapter then the graphics wouldn't be your issue from disconnecting.
Well, you see... the thing is people told me on this thread, that the symptoms of this DC I have are related to Nvidia graphics. If we were to assume that, say, it's not only Nvidia graphics that can cause this, then it can actually be caused by a graphics related thing. And really, what happened was when Zakum disappeared, and then, windows disappeared. These things happen to people using a Nvidia, even though I don't use it. The question right now is, are there other options I can try other than changing graphic quality every Zakum body, or disabling the card through the device manager. If these are the 2 only options in the world for this issue, I would be more convinced. Maybe you can think of a 3rd option, man. You look very smart.
Try VMware, I can't zak without it: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/how...graphical-glitches-closing-your-client.16643/
