Looking for RNG coin flip, 8ball, and/or dice roll command in MapleRoyals to help players make decisions!!!
If you want, I can write an Android app or desktop application which does this for you. I could also write a macro which is activatable by clicking a key, which could be done even when Royals or another software is focused. I don't want to do the latter though, because it might not be OK to have macros listening for input while playing Royals? I understand your issue of not having a coin actually! I've barely seen a coin in the past year. I probably don't even own one Poor me
On my old server, we used to have a command called !roll so when players used that command on the same map, it displayed "[Player] has rolled [number/100]" in blue text. Was super useful for some situations and fun. Would be cool if it could be implemented here.
With all the talk about flipping IRL stuff, I kind of missed the point of your thread. I guess now, the idea is to have something that players can watch together, and unite around? If I understood it correctly, it would be pretty cool with an item (for example a die) which takes a certain form when dropped (1,2,3,4,5 or 6 for example). I dont know if it's possible to have multiple sprites for the same item though?
Actually that is a very good suggestion to implement. A common problem I face is during cwkpq, who gets to loot the extra MoN all that. Some parties have different styles, but if we could all roll a dice and decide, that would be a possible solution.
I wouldn't mind seeing this in the form of an item which can be used to generate a random (1-6) effect above the player. In fact we could probably use the sprites from Pirate's Lucky Dice skill images if there's nothing more appropriate. And then this could be sold in the cash shop/Albert.
That's pretty cool! But i'm not too sure about having the need to spend mesos to do the rolling, as usually the party leader ends up bearing the miscellaneous cost and this will add on to that cost. For example, in CWKPQ the party leader is the one who sends the super megaphone in the event certain classes are missing, and sometimes the hearts are also provided by the leader to ensure minimum waiting time (not always the case, but ppl who join the party through smega almost always do not have hearts with them). This may be a separate topic but if mesos were needed to roll a random number, I would foresee the organizer/party leader being the one to bear the cost, which is a point we could all discuss about.
