Hai doing that to get ur perfectly scrolled pet equip is considered glitch abuse and is a bannable offense
TBH it's pretty obvious that this effect is something Nexon didn't intend to be possible, thus making it a glitch. Using the glitch on purpose to get an advantage (clean-slating your not-perfect equip) sounds a lot like glitch abuse.
The main thing is that the staff A. haven't replied to all of the questions regarding it (you'd think they would want the player(s) to know that it is a bannable offense) B. haven't patched it in well over a year I'm just looking for confirmation. When it comes to the rules it's never a good idea to assume, especially considering the answer is quite easily accessed through simple communication (asking a question). I'm not really looking for personal opinions/interpretation, rather, the definitive answer. I'm sure you can understand--I wouldn't want to utilize that feature and get banned for it, but on the contrary, I also wouldn't want to avoid using the feature if it was deemed to be allowed.

I was soloing krex. I've figured out that I've ran out of summoning rock when the eye had 20% hp left. And my nl and my mules left afterward since I know it will take long time.
