How's it going? I'd like to ask ya'll a question about something.

Well, have you ever encountered the sad situation where you are fired, or can't find a job, etc.? To be honest, I just did a number of days ago. The most annoying part about it was, the manager didn't even want to talk about it. He just called me to tell me I'm fired, and kicked me out of his office. It was embarassing. Also, the bigger problem is there is a problem in my city where to find a good job, you must have very good education - and if you dont, you have a very small chance of being accepted. Anyone else had ever encountered a similar problem? Would love to hear about it, thanks.

I’m sorry to hear that, man.
Hopefully you can find a job soon.

Thanks! Luckily, I have a job interview today. Let's see how it goes. I also have another job interview next week, in case the current one won't work. Hey Don, have you ever been fired from a job? Can you tell me about your job experiences?

Well, you see, it’s me again, sorry for replying

I have not been fired or experienced anything similar to that. Very good question though, why do you think you were fired? You must have done something wrong to have that situation arise, care to elaborate? It's highly unlikely that your boss did that entirely unprovoked and without valid reasoning.

    Thanks for asking me something

If you mean to say, my forum attitude has something to do with the reason why I was fired from my real life job - then no, the two things are not connected to one another, really. To tell the truth, I wasn't fired because I had behavior problems. I just was apparently not working fast enough for the Boss, and he decided to find someone else instead. That's the reason I was fired. But, the question that needs to be asked - how did he(the employer/boss) expect me to work so fast right from the beginning? Doesn't employers give time for employees, to learn the job and slowly increase their work speed, etc.? They always state job requirements at job interviews - but he never told me about working fast enough.

Some bosses just ain't nice. Best to find a more lenient boss to work for.

Why would I mean to say that? No idea where you pulled that from.

Makes sense, time = money and if somebody else can come in and do your job better/faster there is no incentive to keep you around. In his eyes you likely had sufficient time to prove yourself. You had coworkers, right? They are obviously held to the same standard and had to learn the skill just like you did. If only you could do that work as fast as you manage to post and reply to forum threads, you'd be getting a damn promotion!!

Are you seeking a new job in the same field as the one you were fired from? If so, maybe you'll be ahead of the curve upon joining their team since you already got to learn the basics at your prior job!

To be honest, now that I remember it - one of the co-workers had reported me to the manager, and that's how I got fired, actually. Some co-workers just have this urge to report anything they see or hear, it's really stupid.

Yes, time = money. But, I was barely given a chance, but whatever.

I've got a job interview in about 3 hours from now, wish me luck, man. I'll update you how it was.
