Hey fellers. Quick suggestion here. I was wondering if it's possible to change the game's resolution, not the full screen option but rather have an actual, proper 1920x1080 resolution that won't break the game. It will certainly help with seeing much further down the map, and will be friggin' awesome feature to have. I imagine this feature breaking some textures of the game and such, yet I know it's very much possible and will definitely bring more uniqueness to Royals than any other private server out there that is an older source without that option. ** I've seen people talk on it on the forum before, asking if it's even possible and have people replying saying that as far as they know it's not possible. I am aware that it might not be possible for now, this thread is more of a feature request. What do you think? Would you support this feature implemented, Why yes/not? Aye.
It's not currently possible with our client, but it's something Kevin wants to get working down the road when it is possible.
Speaking of "seeing much further down", could I also suggest increasing the off-screen render distance for mobs? Sometimes when training at ToT, you flashjump so fast across the platform that the monster's sprite or hitbox doesn't load quickly enough (not sure if it's due to ping), an attack that should connect doesn't hit because of this. Another example is when you jump down Ulu1 top platform to Genesis the bottom row, they don't load quickly enough and your Genesis misses.
Yeah happens to me all the time when I use the teleport from bottom to top. I just wait half a second and the hit box will be just fine. Aye.
1080p reso kinda overkill... Mybe just little Bit higher than 800x600.. Not all players using 1080p monitors/screen.. 1366x768 would be nice.
You're right, not all players will be using 1920x1080p res, but it is the most popular gaming res, so A LOT of people will be using it (myself included). Some people even use resolutions higher than that.
