Server Wipe?

There is no other low rate low versions with as many players, So that's why I rarely play maple, this has come to a point where its more of a socilizing game than its challenging, this is supposed to be challenging, not sit on your fucking ass do nothing, aint even maple anymore.

 

Have you considered that maybe this game just isn't for you anymore if it bothers you to such depths, that you can't even enjoy it with friends for what it is? At a certain point everyone reaches the height of what they wished to achieve in this game. Some people reach further than others. But with this game in general, holding onto nostalgia and the older version that it is, the content that is, and will be released is already something most have experienced.
This game was never challenging in the first place. Its a tedious grind that you find friends to go on your journey with. If this game doesn't give you the challenge that you are seeking, find a new game that does. Or find yourself some more friends to take you through your path in this game with. I'm a strong believer in the reality that this game is flawed and terrible. Its the PEOPLE you surround yourself with that take the game, and make it fun.

@OP you speak of “facts” about playercount decreasing, but nothing to support that a wipe will in fact increase it.

As far as the discussions have gone, I fail to see how the changes in player base of a server is an indication of a need to wipe.

 

Well have you not thought of the people quitting, doesnt even look at the forum, if they knew there would be a wipe, they would probably get back. The people commenting on this thread is most likely people that STILL play, It's like asking a lobby in fortnite, who likes to play fortnite, obviously most would say yes. But yes I wouldn't know for sure, but as it is right now I would've wiped the server no doubt. Just imagine the hype for leveling, first hitting 200 again and do certain bosses ugh . . .

 

can u elaborate on this? if they quit, why would they come back cos of a wipe? if they quit, wouldnt it have mostly been due to real life issues taking precedence?

 

The reason behind quitting could be alot of things, but one thing that is for sure is boredom, no more to achieve that's worth playing for, think of it yourself, that's the reason why i dont play anymore, and I would for sure start playing again

 

Well surely if people are quitting for one reason, others are quitting for a second or third.

No one can say what will bring players back.. but I don't think "I've done everything" is a reason thats in the majority. If it was purely having completed everything, they could just make a new character, they dont need a whole new server to do so, and I think wiping would upset more people than it would make happy, but I can't say for sure, no more than you can I suppose.

 

Yeah that's for sure, obvioulsy no one would know, and "I have done everything" really depends on what the person wanted to achieve, doesn't have to be reaching level 200, and as someone said on another thread it's an super turn off seeing perfect weapons everywhere, its an common thing now same with very high levels.
I would love to see the people that quitted over the years if they would come back if there was a wipe, would be interesting to see.

1 small example:

The thing with those votes is that that's players thats currently PLAYING on the server, imagine all the people that quitted cause of nothing to do, all the nerds saying they would quit if the server wipe, that's bullshit all they do is play maple anyways lets be real

Server wipe ? Seriously ?
To be honest some of us are working, studying, and some are even on holidays. Example in my situation, I work my ass off from morning till night , and playing maple is the only way I get to release my stress since I get the chance to talk my friends in game, go bossing with them and etc. I get it that some of them are already lvl 200 on few characters , have perfect weapon, equip and etc....well, I know quite a lot of players who have few lvl 200 char(with perfect weapon and etc) and they are still actively farming and bossing. Never heard of anyone complaining that they have nothing to do. I speak facts.

 

Ok, humor me this, won't I get bored and tired of repeating the exact same process of building up my characters and funds again after the wipe? Isn't the same for me just to join/move on t0 a newly created Maple private server like many veterans like Sila, Bossa, and BangHero have done?

How can I be sure, everyone will stay and not take it as a sign to move on or move to another seemingly more stable private server?
