I was wondering if it was against the rules to multi client. I wanna try it but I'd like to know if it's not allowed before I do.
Ive seen many players use multiple clients, personally i use 2 pc's because i dont know how to use 2x clients in 1 pc.
Multi-clienting requires using 3rd party software and.or modifying or using an unifficial client itself. Which is against the rules.
Thanks for explaining why not. However, I assume you are talking about virtual machines like virtualbox or vmware for example. That is not classed as multi-clienting. That is basically running MapleStory on separate computers. This is not against the rules as it does not require 3rd party software to attach to the client nor does it modify the client.
Once again, no. I assumed I shouldn't provide an explanation as it would aid in something you just said was against the rules? If you'd like to know how, just let me know but I'd think you wouldn't want it out in the open.
I already said if it doesn't require 3rd party programs or a modified client then it is not against the rules. I now assume you mean using more than one windows user account. I'm pretty sure there are no other methods that don't require something that would be against the rules.
Yes but how are you to know which one of the methods we are using? Thus, any method could be mistaken for using 3rd-party programs and it is best to just not use any method at all.
So then why am I able to open more than one client at the same time on one Windows account? I would not need to use any 3rd party software. I don't believe in multiclienting (and I don't). Just want to point this out here...
how did you do that? when I try open multiple clients it just doesn't work... I can't even play GMS at the same time as Royals (don't hate me I still play GMS sometimes despite it being an utter shit game)
Making two maplestory folders usually does the trick. If not, sandboxie is used by many people here and really doesn't provide any chance of getting banned.
But is it allowed like that: I make a Guest account to my pc and open 1 client there and 1 client under administrator account. Is this allowed?
I already said as long as you are not using any 3rd party programs (which usually attach or inject a .dll file into the client) and are not using a modified client then you are fine.
