Update Jan 23rd: Tried my luck and failed another one today! This zhelm is costing me a fortunate and I'm kind of tempted to just 70% it or 60% without any WS :s Currently zero for six Update Jan 21st: I decided to just WS + 60% helm DEX the zhelm like everyone has suggested (thank you all). I'm actually really unlucky which is why I never actually scroll any of the stuff I sell or buy for my NL. Today was a new low in terms of luck for me. I just wanted 5 extra DEX to wear my newly looted MoN without the need of adding any AP to the minimum base DEX that I have. I thought with 5 WS, simple probability expects 3 to pass and 2 to fail. 5 scrolls later, I am now 2 B poorer as all 5 failed. Just for fun I wanted to see how "unlucky" I truly was All i can say is... I am the 1% Original Post: Hi guys, i recently looted a pretty good helm. It doesn't have perfect LUK but i have looted about 80 ish helms and i don't think i'll be wanting to do any more z-runs at least not for a very long time: I was told that I should WS + 60% it. My question is if it would be worth to do a few 60% without WS to save some money. I have the money to most likely finish it completely with WS but the cost is quite substantial especially just for DEX. Hopefully some people who have done this can shed some insight. One of the things i'm also worried about is when thanksgiving comes around, if I get a 5-6 att pilgrim hat, i'm worried i would have wasted a lot of money WS'ing this z helm and then not using it if i get a better pilgrim hat. Any advice is appreciated!
If you're gonna 60% without WS you might as well take the leap and throw a Chaos on it. If not, just be patient with WSing it over time if it doesn't make sense for you to allocate funds to fully complete it at the moment.
WS+60%ing zhelm took 13 WS for my NL and 16 WS for corsair. Although it costed me a fortune, it was worth investing because those dex helped me to reduce the base dex to minimum value.
Mine was 13/20/22/19 clean and I didn't ws at all Spoiler I didn't ws cause I didn't have the funds and would rather use my mesos somewhere else that would benefit me more. Looking at that failed helm makes me feel lucky I guess.
Thank you for all the responses guys. I guess I will slowly WS it up then I worked too hard to finally loot this helm and I guess with the added dex I won't need dex earrings anymore and can switch to LUK ones! I just hope I don't scroll it up, finish it and then scroll a godly pilgrim hat haha
Actually ya, why do more people not chaos it? I don't actually need so much dex even if i WS + 60% it with all dex i'd have quite a bit over what i need for my min. I guess its too dangerous xD
If you want a real end game zakum helm for a nightlord, you need to chaos it to get more luk. This is because simply perfecting it for dex doesn't help you too much when you can already get enough dex from other sources (chaos'ed krexel rings, eye accessory, chaos'd top etc).
I'd CS it. Spoiler And tbh a few loss of luk or dex won't really change your damage much lol. People are often exaggerating the importance of having 1 or 2 extra stat(s) but in the end it's almost the same, like for example a 6500 range NL compared to a 6490 NL. Nobody can say for sure that the 6.5k will white, so really don't be too bothered about a few stats difference from the ideal one.
If it is any consolation, the probability to succeed 5 60% scrolls in a row is more than 7 times higher than failing them 5 times in a row
