Hey, can I add that you can find the Black Books for Resurrection from Mr. Anchors as well? I've found like 3-5 so far in the past few days at GS6.
Great guide btw! I'm using this throughout my Bishop adventures.

Some of these questions might be answered in the upcoming horntail section of this guide, but I figured I'd ask anyways, (who knows, it might even give you some more ideas for things to include in the guide).

I recently ran on a Horntail run where I tried to DPS as a bishop.

    Preheads

    1. Is angel ray 20 worth using over genesis 30? I ask this because genesis consistently hits over 4 times the damage of my angel ray, and it feels like I do more DPS with genesis (even on a single target). On a more broad note, can you explain specifically when angel ray is better than genesis, if at all?

    2. Obviously it is ideal to have 1600 magic to 1hit the dark wyverns, but this level of magic is kinda unrealistic for most players to achieve. However, getting enough magic to 2hit the dark wyverns is pretty achievable.

If you are hp washed (to 5.5k like the guide recommends), is it safe to try and 2 hit the wyverns? Also if you are 2-hitting the wyverns is there any way you can position so that the wyverns do not dispel your party members?

    3. What auto pot settings do you use? I've been putting my HP bar at 100% and mana at 50%. I want to be safe, but i also don't want to waste potions.

    Main Body

    1. Where do you position yourself to cast genesis in each phase of the battle? Specifically, I want to know where you cast genesis when:
    a) at the start, when legs and tail are alive
    b) when attackers are focusing on left head
    c) when attackers are focusing on right head

    2. Regarding holy shield, is there any specific time you cast it or do you just try to keep it on cooldown? I.e. is there anything that would trigger you to cast holy shield or is it something you just use whenever you can?

    3. What magic ATT potions would you recommend besides swiss cheese? (They are somewhat expensive , do not last nearly long enough, and are a pain to buy in any meaningful quantity). Main reason I ask is I feel somewhat guilty that the other attackers are burning onxy apples/heartstoppers whereas I'm just using a casual NLC wizard elixir, AND i get to leech exp from the body AND get equal split from the drops.

**Literally went from like 20% to 84% in 1hr and 10mins of horntail at lv 156**

    4. Every person who recruits attackers for horntail via smega always asks for range, so around how much magic do you think you need as a bishop to contribute meaningful DPS to the fight?

    5. Does washing to 5.5k hp make you safe from everything if you are hit while dispelled? If not what do you still need to look out for and how can you prevent dying to it?

Cant say for sure if this is the case but this is what i feel would answer ur qn.

    1) Use AR when arms on warning so tat u dun trigger mass sed if u are trying to white scrub nls
    oops i see wrong xD

    2) U only need to holy shield when legs are not down so atkers sun get stunned and when attacking on right side cos the arm does those debuffs

    3) Prolly either witch stew, spell bound lolilpop or banana pie (ma equivalent of gelts)

The rest idk cos tbh i dun go ht
    #RipCredibility

Tho 5) obviously dun tank heads when dped ~f17

    Hello akash!
Indeed i’m halfway writing the guide with images and markings, animation Gif files to make it look pretty too.
Has been alittle slacking on the guide! Probably continue working on it ASAP!
Meanwhile i hope that the other parts of the guides are useful atm!
I’ll answer each and every question of yours not an issue !

    1) On Prehead A, keep an timer of 2min 1st sed 3min for the following after each sed.
Every horntail part goes the same.

Start of with Angel Ray 30+ Bahamut 30, as bishop single target is very very weak, genesis damage output will be lower and mana cost is heavy. Definately no to Genesis.

Meanwhile u can use energizers or
spellbound lollipops which are 2mil~3mil each lasting for almost 20min+ each.

    2) in prehead if u cant 1hit dark wyvern, ask ur melee dps to do it,
With that good amount of HP u can survive yes, and screwing up, yes to that too!
    Your survival is priority.

In mainbody is the one that u will want to genesis the darks and do this trick.
Obtain 1320 magic, with echo + 1x sswiss + SE cheese, u are able to 1 hit the dark wyverns easily.

    3) i keep mine both at 80% using ginger ales :)
You won’t be able to be 1/1-ed when MG is on, and if MG is off, u can survive 1-2 hits even when petpot fails. But u better notice that your dispelled by then haha!

    1. Honestly you can kinda just afk in prehead and chat, even if you do angel ray whole run your damage is pretty insignificant in 1vs1 and it's more helpful to be the sed mule in the 1st head.

    2. You need like to hit 60k+ damage to kill wyverns quickly (use bahamaut so after the gene they will die) or to 1 hit them with gen. The dark wyverns can heal themselves very quickly so if your gen hits like 40k it will take more like 5 hits to kill them (and they will dispel you, lowering your damage further)

    3. I put HP at like 95% and MP at 60-70% or so? (I forgot) and just use ginger ale for both

    Also about the body,

    1. You don't really need to gen at the start but just focus on healing sed and stuff, after leg/tail dies you can go near the middle and gene to hit all of the parts of HT. Try not to cross the middle though cause it will trigger double sed from the 2 arms.

    2. Cast Holy shield at the very beginning (if it's lvl 30) when HT just spawns and afterwards cast another in 2 minutes, when the first seduce happens (so you don't get stunned). Afterwards you only need to do it when on the right side because the left side doesn't have any curses/seals etc.

    3. Can just use energizer or something and nobody will really care, it's up to you I guess.

4, People don't care about your damage usually, they only want a bishop who is reliable and doesn't die/dc .

    5. Bishops got elemental resistance against elemental magic which makes head A and C hit you only 2.5k or so (and like 3.5k if buffed by the wing).
Head A has a physical ice attack that isn't affected by it and can hit like 5.3k though, and when the head is buffed by the wing (it will have a sword icon on top of it) it can hit almost 7k damage and 1 hit you so you need to watch out for that. Also if you get seduced in the arms and get dispelled you'll probably die (you need like 8k+ hp to tank that or more) so make sure you have hero's will

    In Main Body
    1)
    A) when tails and legs are still alive, i would suggest staying at the NPC exit crystal and genesis there if u plan to DPS the HT.
Keep a good timer to your seduce though.

Use holy shield whenever its ready. If you tried and test if u can survive tanking the tail, when holy shield is active, u can go to the middle to genesis to hit all parts of Horntail generating the highest amount of DPS at that point of time. (THIS IS VERY RISKY)

B/C) stay at the bottom near the centre inbetween 2 arms. Try not to cross no matter what. Make full use of telecasting for positioning and dodging the attack animations to not cross.
U will be able to hit all targets.
I personally stay at the bottom 85% of the time in Horntail and only go up to heal the sed if they are above, give HS, MW, Holy Shield & echo.

    2) whenever your teammates are in the aggro range of Horntail’s right hand.
(Meaning to say they are at the right side of Horntail)
The only part that will be using these negative effect spells is the right hand of Horntail.
Use it as much as possible, giving to as most party member as u can.
(If DPS does split style in mainbody u cant give everyone anyway, so just give to the NLs)

3)It depends on how much do u want to provide to the team, i would suggest eating sswis cheese when head spawn dark wyvern animation, (yellow circle) and genesis on the wyvern by casting a bahamut, so u aggro everything perfectly and 1hit it beautifully.
Genesis the moment those units are spawned.
With the 1600 magic obtained with Echo + Cheese, there is no issues on dieing and messing it up, it improves the dps so well for your entire team, saving the melee coming down to kill the spawns or the NLs to hit the wyverns or even wyvern flying upwards pushing the BMs and NL out of their comfort positions .

On other moment without darks, depends on how much u are willing to assist in DPS, i personally ssiwss cheese the run until 2heads and 2 arms remain to switch to lollipop

Well, that is of course up to u to decide and trial and error with the amount of finance you have, as remember bishop main role is supportive gameplay, remove shield buff from heads with your dispel skill by jumping under bottom the arm to remove the buff, and of course to keep ur team alive maintaining sed timer and as revive them if mistakes happens. Of course HS and even MW20 them whenever to upkeep the DPS.

    4) i’ve never come across this question, how much magic do you have? But instead, do u have experience with HT in bishop?
Well, who knows if anyone has been questioned or a base mark is there! Please inbox me and let me know!

    5) i’ve seen even with 22.5k HP bishops die LOL, whenever you are dispelled, you are vunerable to 1/1.
Understand the dispel animation and how the animation of 1/1 works
    -Fire stones = 1HP
    -Ice stone = 1MP
    -lightning = 1/1
    -Dark wyvern white circle
With 3.5k hp, 90% bishop does not die at all LOL! So with 5.5k hp u are able to sustain so much more! Of course there will still be deaths, but with practice.
Once u are used to the animation and attack patterns, u can do it with a 2.2k HP bishop without any deaths, or even mistakes!

Currently from my survey and research for the past 5months from different bishops around! That amount of HP shouldn’t give u any bit of problem at all!
All the best! Look forward to the Full horntail Bishop guide!

Hello, have got a quick question as a lvl150 bishop. By saying lvl150 is the best time to wash, does that mean I should start washing with fresh ap from 150 onwards? Like add fresh ap to mp, ap reset it to int? Then when I feel like it, reset extra mp to hp.

Assuming I don’t do it at lvl150, let’s say lvl170, would it be too late to start, and I should make a new bishop instead?

There's no solid answer of when is the best time to wash because everyone has different hp mp goals. Depending on what hp mp goal each bishop has and at what level to achieve, it can be as early as 120, 150, or enough even at 170.

The best way to this question would be for someone to come up with a calculator like the few we have around the forums. But since there isn't one available (yet), with a few formulas,
    LVL-up MP Gain: 22~24 + 2*'Improved MaxMP Increase' lvl
    LVL-up HP Gain: 10~14
Fresh AP MP Gain: 18~20 + 1*'Improved MaxMP Increase' lvl
    Fresh AP HP Gain: 6~10
    Reset AP MP Gain: 30
    Reset AP HP Gain: 10~20
    AP reset MP Cost: 30
    AP reset HP Cost: 10
Credits to @Chrizz , information given in Comments!

I haven't used these formulas myself, but I guess on top of the Lvl-up MP Gain you will add extra MP based on your Total INT/10 round down to the nearest 10.

And for each MP wash you add extra MP based on Base INT/10 round down to the nearest 10.

players should be able to calculate what level is best for them to start washing.

It actually starts with your 3rd job instructor, from there you go to ludi and then to grendel and only then you go to shammos

Hello, Sorry for the late reply.
you start the quest with your 3rd job instructor!

    1. Talk to your 3rd Job Instructor to begin the story quest
    2. You will then need to head to Korean Folk Town and talk to Wiz the Librarian (Located in the portal on the right of the well)
    3. Head to Grendel the Really Old at Ellinia.
    4. Go back to El Nath where the instructors are and go down then talk to Shammos, the green looking goblin.
    5. Return back to Grendel the Really Old at Ellinia.
    6. Go back to Shammos.
    7. Talk to your 3rd Job Instructor.
    8. Talk to Shammos again to begin the quest called 'Genesis'.
This part has been added to the guide! Thank you for pointing it out

Hello! I'm really glad this guide helped you with your royals adventure!~
as a bishop, my personal suggestion is to wash after you reach lvl150+,
unlike other Adventurer classes, Who washes early, Bishop is reversed!
So on regards to "did I fuck my character over?"
Not to worry at all!
