    How the hell do I disable the Chatbox on the forum?

    With the old vBulletin 3.8.7 forum, we did have a way of being able to "open and close" different sections of the forum, including the chatbox, which I thought was a rather nifty feature. I don't know if there's any option for something like that here. (See little blue arrows on the far right of the green section bars - click those and the relevant section would merely become a green section bar until you expanded it again)

    Oh, so it cant be disabled? I see....well, that's unfortunate. I guess I'll just ignore it whenever I see it then.

    shouldn't be hard for chok to create a cookie that stops the chatbox from loading..

    I don't really want to. It is always problematic editing the code of actively developed software.

    Since the overwhelming majority of people seem to enjoy having a chat, it seems much easier to do one of the following:
    • Ban users from the chatbox if they ask us to or, preferably,
    • Have such users simply add #taigachat_full to their ignore list in whatever adblock software they use. For Adblock Plus this would be the following rule.
