I propose that Balanced Fury's be rechargeable in every shop or at the very least Albert in FM should be able to recharge them. Its super annoying having to go to NLC to recharge them since they aren't like potions where you can stack up a couple days worth in one go. Even with 9b worth of Balanced Fury's in possession you would need to come to recharge at NLC multiple times per day which is terrible game design. Please consider making this change -.-'

    Edit:
    - Recipe cost is 150m compared to original 150k (literally 1000x more)
    - Tao drop rates are abysmal compared to the original
    - We need 5 of each Tao here vs only 1 of each in the original despite the fact Tao's drop rates have been nerfed to the ground
    - Bfury's are 6x the price of Cilbis compared to the original which was 2x the price at best

Already it's exponentially more difficult to obtain it in Royals than it was in GMS and obviously we have seriously deviated from the original already, so why is a slight quality of life change asking for too much?"

    Source: https://maplewiki.net/index.php?title=Balanced_Fury
    Quote from MAPLEWIKI:

"Also, these stars usually were 30 million because they weren't able to be recharged from anywhere except for New Leaf City, but due to a recent update, they can be recharged anywhere, and hence the price went from 30 million to 80"

I used to use Balanced Fury's in GMS right when Aran just became available and at the time when I played I don't recall ever having this limitation with these stars. Now that GMS likeness is out of the way, is there any reason to still keep this around?

If we are going by Lore and original intent as the argument as to why they should not be rechargeable outside of NLC then BFury's should be made with 1 Tao each and not 5 because this was the original intent and that we can clearly see that a Balanced Fury is made up of 3 Taos (1 of each) stuck together and not 15.

    - Red/Blue arrows from Showa give the exact same stats. Showa is accessible from every single continent and you can use a town scroll to get there instantly once you enter mushroom shrine from virtually any town. NLC on the other hand is not accessible from every continent and not even instantly accessible from victoria island. This alone makes diamond/red arrows incomparable to the annoyance of having to recharge Bfuries. But theres more below.

    - Diamond/red/blue Arrows cost the same as they did in the original. Bfury however has been made 10x harder to make than the original with it's recipe becoming exponentially more expensive and Tao drop rates having been nerfed to the ground

    - You can easily buy 20 stacks of these arrows without any significant cost while Bfury (in case you did not know cost 1.5b per set). A single set costs as much as 75 Million diamond arrows, so its not an easy task to get a boatload in one go like you can with arrows. Hopefully no one is planning to tell me to "get gud" and spend 30b & 20 inv spaces for a measly 1 atk.

    - With a mule you can hold 96 sets of arrows and they only have to go one way: from mule to character. Bfury on the other hand has to go 2 ways which is twice the work and if it is not clear already recharging Bfuries is an exponentially more reoccurring task than recharging arrows. So its 2x the work and 3x as often for Bfuries opposed to diamond/red arrows. Not to mention that arrows are 2000 per set while stars are half that amount at 1000

    - Bfury requires a lvl 37 assassin mule whereas arrows can be done by a lvl 7+mule of any class. Bfury requires a much more dedicated mule and again it's for something that already takes 2x as much work and happens around 3x as often.

    they don't because nostalgia
btw, get over it, not everything have to be easy, at least we can fast travel, we have NPC at fm to sell stuff, and preBB MapleStory is not about having things at hand

If we are talking nostalgia i would like to see the recipe price go down to its original 150k instead of the current 150m and tao drop rates be increased 10x as they dropped like candies in gms. We can make things harder, but we can't make a simple adjustment like the one i mentioned? I don't understand the logic

Can you please explain how does going to NLC to recharge furies nostalgia? That reasoning is pretty ridiculous tbh, i don't see how stars being able to recharge in every single town ruin the so called "nostalgia" to you

I’m not a NL so I dont use Furies.

What I do use however, are Diamond Arrows (+4 Att) for Archers. These are exclusively sold by the NPC in DMG, along with ACPs. I buy about 10 sets of these arrows every time I go to boss.

If NL’s get this ability to recharge Furies anywhere, then you might also propose that Archers can buy Diamond Arrows anywhere. But I am against that.

The argument for “nostalgia” is thrown around a lot, but I think the better word here is consistency. Consistency with the lore, consistency with the item origins. It feels like I am part of the Crimsonwood story when I can only obtain my special arrows from one provider in the whole Maple World.

A practical view: Disregarding whether such a change is possible, I feel going to NLC to recharge isnt even a big deal. It is connected to Kerning, and guess what other town also connects out of Kerning? Everyone that does Krex (and Shao) has to go through Kerning at some point, so I really dont mind recharging my arrows in NLC (especially since I can recharge ACPs simultaneously).

This annoyance is the intended downside for having the highest attack throwing stars in the game. Having them be only rechargeable at New Leaf City was something we actually went out of our way to code into the game, otherwise they would have been rechargeable everywhere. We did this so that it would match the same way it worked in GMS when they released Masteria, and especially because it was further confirmed by the lead designer of Masteria (NxProse) that this was indeed an intended game mechanic.

Downsides for 'good things' in the game can be found everywhere really, and this is just another one of those... Yeah it is annoying, but it is supposed to be, and is part of the overall 'balance' of the game.

The difference here is that you can buy as much arrows as you want. Bfury's you only have so much of unless you are going to put down 30b for 20 sets

Some of my archer friends keep a mule at showa town to buy stacks of red arrows before every boss run. You can simply make a lvl 7 storage mule and park it at NLC for recharging stars and fetch them to fm.

Bfury is 6x the price of cilbis atm, this was never the case in gms, like double the price at the most. You made the recipe price literally 1000x more expensive and nerfed the tao drop rate to the ground. Considering this isn't it reasonable to make this small compromise?

Thats a good idea that I may have to resort to. My point still stands though. Stars have to go two ways: have to store them with NL, then recharge with mule and store. Arrows on the other hand can just be one way and you can keep 60k arrows on the mule, so you dont have to walk back to the npc seller nearly as often. Also Bfury is 1.5b per set, even with 9b worth of Bfuries Ill have to utilize my mule way more often to recharge than a bowmen would to use diamond arrows. Lastly I don't feel that diamond arrows are even in the same class since I have to wonder if a bowman using diamond arrows all the way to lvl 200 would even spend the cost of 1 Bfury let alone 6 sets of them. They cost way way way more so imo diamond arrows aren't much of a standard to compare with.

@Matt how about making NLC town scrolls usable from Victoria island? Currently nlc town scrolls are worthless as nlc is the only town in masteria and nearest town scrolls can do that without all the limitations. This would make recharging Bfury’s a lot less tedious as it lowers the number of portals needed to arrive at nlc by 3. I understand that nearest town scrolls will take people to the haunted house entrance from crimsonwood whereas nlc scrolls take you directly to town, but the taxi to nlc is 3 steps away from the haunted mansion making nlc scrolls a complete waste of inventory space. Nlc scrolls require some difficult and arduous quests to make available for purchase, so how about making them worth an inventory slot and also help Bfury users at the same time?

huh didnt know this, ty for the info lol.

I don't understand why this works though. Amoria isn't Masteria, so if nlc scroll can be used from Amoria I don't see why it cant be used from victoria island

Well that makes some sense. Still though Amoria isn't a part of Masteria. Logically speaking Victoria island should be closer to NLC than Amoria, so I don't see why NLC scrolls should not be usable from Victoria Island since it can be used from Amoria.

If you have a fast travel ticket you can reach nlc quite fast from everywhere (less than 3 min to go there and to go back to the location where you want to use them).
The only exception is el nath and for that you can just use a vip rock.
